Can you walk from the Renaissance to SeaWorld? How long a walk is it? We're staying there New Years Eve and going to SW for the festivites and I was thinking it would be easier to walk then drive that evening with all the traffic.

Not a long walk - I would estimate about 10 minutes - walk from hotel entrance to the street, cross the street (many consider crossing the street a bit dangerous) and then walking across the width of the SeaWorld parking lot to SeaWorld entrance. I do not believe there is a traffic light to cross the street - traffic can be heavy at certain times, especially around park closing as the SeaWorld parking lot exits are onto this street.

Hummm...so maybe trying to cross at 1am on New Years Eve isn't a good thing. Well, we can always drive across the street. At least the drive back to the hotel won't be long. :thumbsup2

The hotel is literally on the other side of the street from the Sea World parking lot.The street you have to cross is not a crazy busy street,it basically just has traffic only from the cars exiting Sea World and from the couple of hotels in the area.I would be more worried about the traffic inside the parking lot than from the street between The Rennaissance and Sea World.I've walked from the Hilton Garden Inn which is right next to the Rennaissance and it was like 5-7 minutes to the gate,it's not worth driving to the parks from these hotels they're very close.

They'll more than likely have the Turtle lot open. I would hop on the tram on your way out, and walk from there. The Turtle lot is near the HR building which is to the north of the hotel. And probably no longer of a walk there than from the front gate.

You'll spend a good hour or more trying to get out of the parking lot. I mean, during a non busy time I had a heck of time trying to get out of the parking lot. Plus when I was there last Christmas week, I had to park at Aquatica and be bussed over to the drop off zone. It wasn't pretty, and took a good hour or so to finally get to the gate. And there's usually a ton of Orange County Sheriff Police along that road directing traffic, I'm sure there will be a few crossing guards.

I would walk, no second thought about it.
