Walking distance to Epcot

Can anyone please let me know how far it is to walk to Epcot from Boardwalk and from Beachclub? Thanking you in advance!

BC is closer, only a couple hundred yards away. BW really isn't very far either. You enter at the world showcase entrance. We love staying at BW because of the proximity to Epcot.

The International Gateway entrance is between France and United Kingdom. I would say it's about a 5 or 10 minute walk from the Boardwalk lobby, depending on how fast you walk.

BCV is closer about a 5 minute walk. BWV is about a 10 minute walk. It is a pleasant walk from both resort or there is also boat transportation.

We just got back from BCV and I was SHOCKED at how close Epcot was!!!! You follow a little path from BCV, along the side of the regular BC rooms, go through a little gate and you are already on the bridge that takes you to the International Gateway. I timed it--once you are at the gate, it takes just 3 minutes to stroll to the IG. We rode on Soarin' almost every day--just popped over, grabbed some FP, then went back later in the evening. So convenient!

BCV is definately closer than BWV, but not sufficient enough to be the choice factor. So my advice would be to choose based on the theme you prefer. (BTW, we own at BCV and love everything about it, but will be staying at BWV for the first time this August..really looking forward to popping down to Jellyrolls a couple times while the "teen and the tween" hang in the room.

Two years ago, we stayed at BCV, and at about 8:45 pm, sitting in our room, we decided to see if we could catch IllumiNations. We hiked up the path -- literally, about a five minute stroll -- found a superb spot on the bridge between England and France, saw the show, and were back in our room by 9:25. Incredible. It was so quick, convenient, and EASY. I don't know of any other resort where you could do that.

This year, I'm hoping to be able to ride Soarin' a LOT

Disney-MGM Studios is about 20 minutes in the other direction, and a very nice walk too.

Caskbill did this with his GPS system for Boardwalk --from the porch- to the IG is 0.3 miles. Don't know the BCV distances--it is slightly shorter.

Boardwalk is about 5-10mins and BC is about 5 mins. You enter at the International Gateway; between France and UK.

Caskbill has measured a number of WDW distances using a GPS and posted them in his famous <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39529">"Caskbill's Most Excellent Pathways Revealed at Walt Disney World".</a>

The distance from <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40634">BWV to International Gateway</a> was 0.36 miles. He also offers <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130187">measurements around Crescent Lake</a>. Although I don't think he included a specific distance from BCV to International Gateway, it is definitely shorter than the walk there from BWV. (I'd guess around 0.26 .)

I'm sure Bill will dust off that GPS sometime and update some of these distances for us - once he finishes the Point Tracker he's been promising for the last 2 years!

In terms of EPCOT distance, nothing is closer than BC. Although, when it comes to MGM, if you're at the BWV you can get to the "walkway to MGM" very easily from the villas side out by the luna park & quiet pools. I routinely got there at a brisk walk to the gates in 8 minutes. BWV to EPCOT is further--about 12-14 minutes.Both BC and BWV offer the huge benefit of being within walking distance of 2 parks. Which--if you don't mind walking is GREAT. I have very often chose to walk home from either Epcot or MGM after closing when DW and MIL,etc. would INSIST on waiting in horrendous lines for a boat.I'd even push one DS in a stroller as I walked.
