Walking distance from Doubletree to Downtown Disney

Does anyone have an idea of how long the walk is from the Doubletree to the closest Downtown Disney bus stop? The hotel told me it was a 5 minute walk but some people here refer to it as a very long walk. One thing I like about hopefully being close to DTD bus stop is that I can go to any other Hotel with one Bus instead of multiple buses which I would have to take if I was staying at a Disney resort.

I would venture a guess and say at least a half-mile. Definitely NOT a 5 minute walk.

I don't recall where the Doubletree was on that street but I've stayed at the Courtyard several times. If I remember right, the walk was about 12 minutes or so. Not really that far but when it's hot you don't want to do speed walking. Also there's that street in front of DTD to get across and you really want to wait for the light to be with you.

I live near the jay walking capital of the USA (Boston) but even I wouldn't cross against the traffic at DTD.

It's a pleasant stroll to DTD. Be sure to check out the pond on the left (facing DTD). There are some HUGE snapping turtles in it and they come right over to check you out.

May I ask is that what you heard or did you actually stay there and see for yourself.

It's about 20 minutes or so walking from the Doubletree. Not bad, but definitely not something I'd reccomend after a long day in the parks.

It's about 3/4 mile from the Doubletree to the Marketplace. It's about 1.5 miles from the Doubletree to Disney Quest.

We stayed there in June. I walk 5K every morning and walked from the Doubletree to Cirque three times and it was about 5K round trip - that's 3.1 miles.

I'm not a speedwalker, but I go at a good pace and it took about 15 minutes to get to the Marketplace (Once Upon a Toy).
