Walking a reservation question

So if someone is walking a reservation, and they drop the first day and add on one more to the end...does availability in the middle matter? Or only if that date on the end is available? Is the system smart enough to know that they already have the rooms for those middle dates, or does it basically "rebook" the entire trip so that if there is a day in the middle which shows no current availability then they can't move the reservation? Kind of confusing.

Once you have the dates and modify to drop and add, the system still recognizes that you those dates already.

That is why getting the initial night is so important because once get least two nights at 11 months you have locked in that room.

Once they have that span of time booked, no one can book that room for any of those nights. It's reserved for them. So availability in the middle doesn't matter, because that's availability of rooms that aren't already booked.
