Sorry my computer time this week has been changing my March break cruise. We decided to book on a different ship from a different port which required all kinds of cancellations and rebooks.......

Well did my finally LW before my 1/2 on Sept 30th. We did 20K last night.....3:01:41 hips are a bit sore this morning so just took a tylonel and will be in the hot tub in about 30 mins:thumbsup2

I am again behind on posts, hope everyones training is going great.

39 more sleeps till my trek to ToT will begin!!!!!

You, being a babe from the far north, would have laughed at me this morning. It was 50 degrees and I dressed like I was going out on a snow mobile adventure. Can it only be a week since it was a 100 degrees?

total drive-by today......when I heard that Nancy and Norm were going to be in Williamsburg this weekend, John and I decided spur of the moment that we would drive up and join them. Just booked a room at their hotel. Gotta throw some underwear in a bag and get going! Have a great weekend everybody!

We made a quick trip monday, two weeks ago, to meet some buddies at mammouth cave. It was fun getting away for a day trip.:yay:

Dave I think 50 F is about 10ish C. That is a beautiful walking day here in the great white north.:thumbsup2 Our leaves are just starting to turn here in southern Ontario, but I don't think we will get the awesome colors we usually get due to our high temps and no rain this summer:sad2:

Kathy Some weeks I do really great with training and other weeks I barely get in 2 or 3 walks. However, I have no time expectations for any of my events. My goal is and always has been to finish ahead of the sweepers. I wish I could be physically where I could compete and train at a more elite level but while carrying around a extra 20 - 30 pounds that will never happen, just do the training you can do and have fun and don't be so hard on yourself:hug:

No dear, Dave is staying out of trouble this week so there will be no talk of underwear, or lack of, or design of or who it's on. Nope ain't gonna go there.

I have a question: Does everyone take a multi-vitamin, if not why not?

I just did some easy walking in the mall this morning while I was waiting for Erica to get off so we could go to breakfast. I try to do a bit of walking even on rest days to stay loose, I really get tight if I go a day without any activity. I think it might be age related since I didn't have that problem untill the last few years.

Kim, Connie is SteffWalks. She was dropped on her head as a child and gets confused and has multi identies, oh no that's me.

Hello, everyone!

I did 5 miles yesterday with my friend. The time flew by! I had neglected to charge my Garmin, so I have no idea of my time, but it was very pleasant. I do know we got the miles in because it's the same route I walk every day, so I pretty much know where to walk for each distance. She said she may try to go next Saturday, and that would be nice.

Kim, thanks for the kind words! I wonder.....do we all beat ourselves up from time to time???

I am supposed to be cleaning house today, but it's a very unappealing prospect.....DH has had to work all weekend (overtime, so no mid-week days off), so I'm sure I'll feel guilty if I don't get some work done around here today.....

You all have a great training week! I hope to be able to spend a little more time here during the week than I had time for last week!
 
Dave, I DO take a multi-vitamin. And calcium. And flaxseed oil. And a vitamin B complex supplement. I have tried very hard to be prescription free, and I am, but I feel like I am my parents with all my pills! LOL! Of course, my pills, unlike my parents and sister, are not blood pressure medications, cholesterol medications, diabetes medications or antidepressants! :banana: :banana: :banana:
 
Btw Dave, I don't take a multiple vitamin. My other personalities don't need the help! :lmao:

Yes, Kathy I do think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves. THis is suppose to be something we do for fun and for our healthy, if we miss a workout or 2 no biggie just get the next one.....IMHO.

Nope, no multi-vitiman here....no reason, I generally do in the winter but in the summer with all the fruits and veggies I don't figure I need it.

I also am cleanning the house today but am taking multiple breaks to check in.....my responsible personality is telling me to get off the computer and change loads in the laundry. My lazy personality is telling me to go watch Trading Spaces but my DIS personality is winning as I sit at the computer talking to my friends:grouphug:

I'm back from Williamsburg and DH and we loved the surpise visit from Jeanne and John. We decided that is about the same distance travel wise for both of us and will be a great place to meet in the future. We were practicing for the drinking party at ToT as we did a Wine and Cheese Storytelling event Sat night and then did a Wine Tasting and Tour today at Williamsburg Winery. We thought we would like to try the Reserve tour in the future, but will have to wait until they open the Inn next to the Winery as you will end up consuming a bottle of wine till you are done with that tour. So we could just stagger over to the Inn when we are finished.

Mentally I am much better thanks for all the encouraging words from everyone. You are all a great support. Jeanne and I talked about the marathon and how I do just need to look at it one week at a time. I also will not beat myself up if I miss a workout. I did not do a formal walk while we were away, but walking around Colonial Williamsburg is like walking around Disney you put in alot of miles. So really I only missed a 3 mile formal walk this week since I did my LW on Wednesday. Am ready to start again tomorrow.
