Walkers Wanna Compare Notes??

Underwear? Breaking out the special occassion Vicoria Secret weapons.:)

We made a quick trip monday, two weeks ago, to meet some buddies at mammouth cave. It was fun getting away for a day trip.:yay:

Dave:hippie:

Ha,ha.....you truly flatter me......I don't think Victoria Secret carries my size.
All my underwear is industrial strength.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I didn't know you posed for DisneyShopping

OH NO, I have the exact same shirt!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Ha-ha, I see that Nancy beat me to the punch about our weekend report. Seriously, just about all of our activities together involved drinking wine. I was going to report to Kim?/Kathy? (I know it was a K-lady) that I won't have to drink all her booze alone. Nancy does a pretty good job on her part and will gladly pick up the slack.
It was a quickie visit, but lots of fun. Can't wait until the inn at the winery opens up so we don't have to worry about getting back home after the reserve wine tour.
Did I mention that once John and I got home, we topped off the day with a Margarita at our local Mexican restaurant....:thumbsup2

Welcome back Nancy and Jean!!! Sounds like a awesome time.

jean you certainly won't be drinking alone unless it is wine or beer. One or 2 or more bad parties in my teens and still can't touch the stuff. Moody Blue Wine....ugghhh I don't even know if they make that gasoline anymore, and whisky shooters with beer chaser....who ever thought of that combo.

Give me a cooler or anything with a umbrella and I am good to go!!!!!

OK, who volunteered to be the adult supervision????:yay:

Connie: Do you prefer to be called Connie or Steff:hug:

37 more sleeps...but whos counting:dance3:

Wow sounds like all of you are having fun, working out and heading towards many goals. The TOT sound wonderful, Miranda and I are very jealous but we’ll survive and live it through all of you - make sure trip reports with pictures are posted. Nothing incriminating of course

Mark and I went – well tried to- go for our 8 mile walk. Sadly we had to cut it short but we did attempt it. I won’t go into details but let’s just say a bathroom on our way would have helped greatly.

Last night we went to the track which we had not done in quite a while. The high school was training in Soccer so the facilities were open if need be. I did a power walk for the first mile and then jogged a lap and then walked and jogged etc for a mile of jogging. It went well for me. Mark is much faster than me at walking and jogging and I feel that I’m holding him back but he’s very good about staying with me. We did 4 miles last night and we both agree as usual that mile 1 & 2 are fine, mile 3 sucks and into mile 4 we are feeling great. I hope that continues.

We love to try new routes including doing our regular route backwards so it’s a different feel for hills and valleys. Mixing it up keeps it interesting.

Well have a great Monday all. I usually take tonight off but we’ll see.

Good morning, everyone! Let's see if Dave and Robert can keep from getting into trouble this week. (kinda reminds me of when I was little and in Catholic school. Those nuns wouldn't take any nonsense from anyone. Ostensibly, I was always the perfect angel:angel: , but secretly I would always egg the other kids on so I could witness the mischief and then watch THEM get in trouble.....what a gal!)

Denise: I read something on another site that true competitors don't stop when nature calls.:scared1: You can console yourself with that knowlege if an accident should occur. :thumbsup2

What I ever do:confused3 I am guilty by association:rolleyes1

You want me to cheer for the Cowboys and get beaten up at the ESPN, so you can take your licks on here. Besides You didn't look out for me very well last week.:)

Im really can't claim real RedNeck status. I hate wrestling and Nascar. I don't drive a pick-up and I wear French and Italian designer clothes (good sales at Dillards and Macys) along with my jean and T-shirt days. My favorite dinner is blackend catfish or salmon. Were I a real redneck I'd be eating my catfish fried, with coleslaw and fries, instead of my plain baked potato and steamed veggies.

I had a nice 8.1 mile walk, 1:48 total time for an average of right at 13 mpm. I was feeling a little tired around 6 miles so I have a ways to go to get in Goofy shape.

Evening everyone.

Jeanne--- We thought about opening one of the wine bottles, but Subway Subs and wine just didn't seem like the right combination.

Kim--- Since you don't do wine and beer what is your alcholic drink of choice. Are you getting excited for your half? I'm sure you will do great. Enjoy tapering.

Denise--- Looking like you are doing well with your training.

Robert--- I love that beagle picture, it reminds me of our dog.

Dave--- While in Williamsburg there was an Ecco outlet store. I tried on the Yucatan sandel, and loved them. However, every shoe/sandal in the place was marked down except that style. Since it is there #1 seller the sales clerk said it is never marked down. I told her, I would buy it on line as I can find them at a sale price. So the next time shoe buy has the 20% off I am purchasing a pair. I really need to find another style of sneakers that I like before I buy the sandals. The pair of Mizuno that I got several weeks ago are just not working for me. I guess I need to go back to the Saucony. I hate to go back to the running store again and try on all those different style sneakers.

I did 3.5 miles tonight. So getting back into training. Now if only I could control my eating. The 5 pounds I lost have been found.

Nancy

I forgot to mention, that I have finally purchase my airline tickets for marathon weekend. Ended up doing Air Tran both ways as SWA just wasn't coming down in price and the only available time left was 9:20pm which is way to late when I have to work the next day. At least Air Tran particpates in ME so don't have to mess with baggage when we depart.

Nancy

Hi Nancy.

Erica asked if you tried on the Ecco running shoes? She has done a half in the Mary Janes and liked them real well. Walking of course.

Erica's cold beverage of choice is a frozen margrita, no salt.

Mine is Miller Lite or just about any cold beer.

Hi, everyone!

I had a mah-velous thing happen to me on my walk. A young man (younger than both of my children) was walking in the opposite direction and asked me if I had seen some women with a stroller back the way I had just been. He turned and walked as we talked. He said, "Gosh, you're walking really fast." I explained I was training for a race. He said he thought this was harder than just running. I ended up leaving him in the dust! :yay: I LOVE it when that happens, especially when it's some young kid. I guess since most of you don't know the ages of my children, telling you this guy was younger doesn't help much, does it? My oldest is 29 and my youngest is 24. This kid looked to be between 17 and 20. Anyway it just made my day! I also had my fastest walk to date. Still over 15 mpm at 15:06, but improving!

Nancy, I'm glad you're feeling better!

Jeanne and Nancy, since Williamsburg is mid-way between you, I wanted to let you know I will be in Virginia Beach immediately following ToT. I am flying directly there from Orlando and meeting DH at the airport in Norfolk. We will be spending several days in the area, visiting two more of our grandsons. We will also probably run down to Columbia, SC to see the youngest of our 5 grandsons! I don't know if that's close enough for us to meet up or not.....

Sounds like everyone is back on track and doing well!

Keep up the good work!

Kathy

Nancy: I like froo froo type drinks. Pina Coladas, Dacqrui's, if I am just going to have a cooler it is usually just a smirnoff Ice....do you have those in the States????

Erica likes those Smirnoff Ice drinks also.

She and I will be heading out for a training walk in a few minutes, this will be the start of her training since the last two weeks have been no go because of that tooth abcess. She still has the problem but better. After a specialist consult tomorrow they will give her a plan of attact. The abcess is under a bridge and they removed the bridge yesterday.

Have a great day y'all.

Oh good I hope they carry these in WDW.

Yikes so sorry to hear about Erica's tooth, not sure where I missed this post. Hope she is feeling better soon.

That is what Erica and our friend were drinking at the Pleasure Island 8 Track dance club. Let me tell you those people treated the athletes like Royalty. They made the drinks strong and kept the prices low. Three of us drank and danced from 7 pm till 3 am and I spent about $100 for all those drinks including tips.

Guys never, ever take 2 girls dancing by yourself.

Erica did real good today, we did a brisk 10 miles and she is taking a nap now. I figured she would be good for about 3 or 4 miles since she hasn't trained much. Fooled me.

Dave:hippie:

Good morning, everyone! My internet has been down all day so it seems like morning to me right now.

Nancy: check out Endless shoes.com for the Yucatan sandals. Mine were $94 with overnight shipping. I think that maybe 4 and 1/2 of those 5 pounds might be due to the wine! And if you want wine with Subway, go for it. Just make sure it's not that $18 half bottle!

Kathy: you're like a regular Demi Moore with your young suitor! You go, girl! :thumbsup2 How many children do you have? I have 4: ages 27, 25, 23 and 22! The youngest and oldest are boys and the girls are in the middle.

Dave: hope Erica's tooth is feeling better.

Wow, Kathy you are attracting the young stud muffins. I am so jealous. I only attract the old senile, half blind men. My DSs are 24 and 23. Neither are married and no grandchildren. I am in no rush to be a grandmother. How nice that you will get to visit with them after ToT. You will have to let us know when you come to that area again as we might be able to meet up. I will be just be coming back from a 11 day vacation after ToT.

Dave--- I saw the Mary Jane's but did not try them on as they were closed toes. However, they were on sale. Glad Erica is starting to feel better. She has had a rough couple of weeks between the cold and tooth abscess.

Kim--- I like those fruity drinks also and do alot of them on cruises. Carlos and Charlies have those yard long drinks that one time I don't even remember how I got back to the ship. I am really not a lush, don't listen to what Jeanne says about me.

Jeanne--- No the $18 bottle of wine would not be good with the sub, but the $7.50 white wine would have been perfect. I am now stocked up with wine for awhile or at least until I go on vacation in a month. I will check out endless shoes once I buy new sneakers. I want to get the sandals before we go to WDW. I forgot to show you my wonderful toenails while we were together this weekend. But if I have the sandals you can check them out in Oct. Of course, I will need to get another spa pedicure before we go.

Training wise I did pump class today. No walking.

Nancy
