Just wanted to publicly give a big thank you to Walker Mobility. Due to Sandy we had to change our dates several times and the staff at Walker bent over backwards to accommodate us. Things were really tough in our area of the city and Walker was very helpful and understanding.
The resort we had booked originally could take some "customer service" lessons from the staff at Walker, needless to say we will NEVER stay at a certain I-Drive resort again, can't give the resort name but they certainly have flashing lights and "cheap" rates for a reason.
Also love the new entrances for the Magic Kingdom, much easier to enter/exit.

I have always heard good things about walker and because of a different thread I was on the BBB's web site this morning. As I posted on the other thread, Walker has a great rating and no consumer complaints on file. It sounds like they really care.

I use Walker Mobility scooters whenever I am in the central Florida area. Their customer/guest service is the main reason I rent from them. I had no problem renting a scooter with Disney's new policy of preferred providers.

I have used Walker for the past 5 years. They are a stellar company in which any issue I have ever had, from a bad charger to didn't get a large enough scooter the first trip, they were there within an hour to resolve the problem at the park or hotel! I even get Christmas and birthday cards from them.

Good to hear I'm not the only one here that is appreciative of Walker's service! Really hard to deal with mobility issues and to find a company that really gives a s**t about us is truly unusual.

I'm glad to hear good stuff about them. we will be going through them to get a scooter for my mom in march for a week the only thing is we wish they could drop it off at the hotel for us but they cant we have to be there when they drop it off but since we are getting there at six in the morning I guess we will just have to take it easy at the hotel until her scooter arrives. Do you happened to know the earliest drop off time?

kinda off topic but anyone have experience with scooter rental in Las Vegas? Going in March and seems to be some "shady" ads for rental companies there.

I've been renting from Walker since 1999! Love their customer service!!!!! I am willing to arrange to be there for pick up and return as I don't want to even consider changing to one of Disney's "prefferred" to drop off vendors.

At one time Walker was thinking of opening a location in Vegas. I'm not sure if they ever did.
