Walk-ups at Chef Mickey's?

We've decided to go to WDW 12/8-12/12 very last minute and today I tried to make some priority seatings but was unable to get anything at Chef Mickey's before 9pm on any night we had available (MVMCP one night). I know in the past that I've made a PS for this restaurant through the hotel when I arrived and I've also just walked up and gotten in. My question is this: Has this place gotten so popular lately that I won't be able to get a table? We don't mind waiting a little while, but I'd like to arrange for my brother, his wife and their son to join us for dinner to celebrate my nephew's birthday, and I'd rather not drag them over there for no reason.

Since it is your nephews birthday, I would try to get a PS somewhere else rather than chance it. Try Hollywood and Vine. If you want to stay out of the parks you can try 1900 Park Fare but I prefer Hollywood and Vine. Good Luck and have a nice vacation!

I would try PS when you arrive at your resort, they seem to have space closer to the day you plan to dine, especially if you are staying at a WDW resort. Also, try a walk-in, you may be surprised.
