Walk ins?

We will be visiting MK on a Friday...planning on going full blast all day...I would love to get a ADR for CRT, but other than that, I don't know if I want to make a dinner res for that day...what are the chances of being able to eat a sit down dinner, for 6 of us....and where in MK?

With a party of 6, I would just make an ADR, you can always cancel if you decide you don't want to go. There are very few TS restaurants in MK, so they tend to get full. Crystal Palace is a buffet with the Pooh characters, Tony's is Italian, The Plaza is sandwich and burgers, the Liberty Tree Tavern is Thanksgiving type comfort food. You could always take the monorail over to the Poly, Grand Floridian or Contemporary for dinner.

I would definetly say good luck.....walk ups have been known to happen but not that often.
If you make ADR's places that require a credit card guarentee require 48 hours notice or your CC will be charged.(CRT, CG)
ADR's that are made with no credit card guarentee require no cancellation notice but it is a courtesy to cancel so that someone else may benefit.

I would personally hop on the monorail and try my luck in the resorts. It's a nice break away from the crowds too.

I would make an ADR and if we didn't want to go while we were there, then I would just cancel it.

I wouldn't want to get stuck with nothing or waiting a couple of hours. It's a good idea to at least have a back up in case it's really busy that day.

If you are willing to eat at off hours, you might have a very good chance at a walk-up. In June 2007, we were offered a table at Tony's as walk-ups. It was about 5:45, but if you went even earlier, you would have a better chance. Good luck!

I would book something as soon as possible. It doesn't cost you anything unless you forget to cancel one of the TS that require a credit card.

You can always check and see if something better is available closer to the trip. Better to be save than sorry. I would hate arriving and just winging it and then get disappointed when there isn't anything available.
