Walk-ing Back to Disney! COMPLETED 10/16! A Fall 2014 PTR!

Yikes! Sorry about your husband. That must have been scary and so painful. Glad it wasn't worse. Ick. It makes my finger hurt just thinking about it.

The duck shoes are adorable so far!

Your girls are so, so cute. And they look so excited to have had a little BBB at home! :goodvibes

We are at 139 on our countdown. I can't wait until we are doing the double digit dance. It still seems SO far away..

I am so sorry about your DH, that sounds awful! I hope Olivia is feeling better and that the illness stops with her!

Love the Donald shoes, too cute!

How nice and fun of you to so BBB makeover at home! Your girls are so cute! What a fun mom you are!

Those Donald shoes are your best yet I think! I know D~ will rock them, too!!:goodvibes

What a freak accident for your hubby. I'm an x-ray tech, so I've see some beauts!! I'm glad you were able to take care of him okay. Some people freak out about that kind of thing.:scared1:

I'm totally with you on the sushi thing! I have tried things off and on, but no, nothing tastes good to me. I WANT to like it since Dan loves it and it's so pretty, but no way!!

I love the Jim Shore MIckey!! Good score on that one!:thumbsup2

The girls look so cute, and I know that was all kinds of fun for all of you. I'm so glad Olivia wasn't sick very long and could enjoy it.

Oh, and the socks are very comfortable. I wear them to the Y when I work out and I was ironing a lot yesterday and so wore a pair all day and they were great. They really do a good job of wicking and my feet were not tired after being on them all day. That is HUGE for me!!:yay:

And lastly, We are at 84 days!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Have a great day!

Oh my about DH injury! Hopefully he recovers and heals quickly.

I love the shoes you do. So cute. Maybe I should paint some of mine. Wait, stick figures are not that cute. Oh well. Someday, I will figure out my talent.

I love that you had a fun day with your lovely daughters. They seemed to have gotten quite the kick out of it.

I just started entering my codes for Disney Movies. I am a couple hundred short to even get the $10 gift card. Apparently, Chelsea doesn't think it is important to keep that piece of paper. Then I was going to do the ticket stubs from seeing Maleficent, but Marissa threw those away. Oh well.

I love the five-legged goat pin. How cool is that? I knew it was the five-legged goat, but I couldn't remember he was from Contemporary. As soon as I read that, it did click. So, I can't claim any cool points.

Have a great day.

Wow, sorry to hear about your DH's injury. Glad it's nothing worse, but still...

Glad Olivia wasn't sick for long.

Great stuff, as usual. Those are some adorable shoes!

Your kids are just SO cute!!

Thanks!

Oh no!! Sorry to hear about your husband. Glad he's okay! And I'm glad Olivia is feeling better too. It's never fun when the kiddos are sick. Those shoes are super cute, you're so talented! Eeeeeek you're so close to going to Disney! We have 160 days left. Still seems so far away but at least im passed the ADR mark! That always helps

Yes ADR date is when the ball really seems to start rolling and feeling more official!! It will pass fast! No worries! :hyper: :hyper:

Yikes... Your DH's injury does not sound fun... I do not do well with injuries - which is exactly why I didn't finish my nursing degree... BLECH! Glad he is OK though, and hopefully it isn't too painful for him and he is back to work and feeling better in no time.

Adore the shoes in every way! Love, love, love them!!! Want a pair for myself - oh wait... Hehehehe.

I can do very little bits of sushi... Like the girls and I will split 1. LOL Glad you were able to share your Disney obsession - I love it when people sit and listen to me talk about it. :thumbsup2

And the girls - yah - they are so freaking adorable it's not even funny. I love their little BBB experience at home - and so cute. I remember when my girls were that age - oh the FUN we had. And the little piggy tails - melt my heart. :lovestruc

I hope you have a great day today.

D~

You're so funny! :rotfl:

It is so fun having two girls that I can dress up and do makeovers and cute pig tails on, they are pricey little things tho! :lmao:

I'm not so into pins, but that is one cool 5 legged goat from the contemporary!!

I KNEW someone would know!! You get ALL the cool points! :hippie:

I hear ya, but it will pass by fast, especially with all the fun things you guys have been doing. I figure the vacation is just that much more sweeter the longer you had to wait for it! :goodvibes

84 days! Whooo!

Yes, D~ will so rock them! I think if she meets DD in her get-up he is going to just fawn all over her!! Gonna be so cute!!

I am glad to hear the socks are working good for you, since I havent got to wear mine much yet, yay for that find! I ended up giving my mom, my mil and a couple other family members $5 and they each ordered me a pair of the free trial ones too, so now I am up to 6! :thumbsup2

Collecting the points is so fun! Keep at it they will add up, I will say the $10 Disney card is an awful deal though! It costs 1100 points and for 1500 I got that statue and that thing costs like $40. But I suppose if there is nothing else you want. You can also get $50 Delta vouchers if you ever fly them.

Thank you all for your concern for the hubs! He's still in pain, he says its very "throbby" but hes ok. The wound is staying clean and I've been changing the dressing everyday.

Olivia is completely back to her usual self and no one else is sick! Whooo!

Hubs and kids, thankfully, all doing great now! Well, hubs still has some pain, but he's ok.

Tha dance is always fun, we've been in the same class with the little boy for over 2 years, and it's always fun.

Yes, that was a good freebie from DMR!!! So excited to get something I actually like or will use! Much better deal than the gift cards too...

I really like that pin, lol... I can't wait to see what we find there. I am going to have to order so many more traders though bc everytime I get a batch in I end up wanting to keep most of them!! :rotfl:

Eeeeep! A MONTH!

And 67 until WDW! Wow almost to FP+ and online check in! Have you decided what rides to do??

I was taking a look at those this morning. For Hollywood Studios, We are going to do TSM, ToT and Star Tours. I am not sure how busy it will be, so that is what I am thinking. For Magic Kingdom, we will to Seven Dwarfs, Elsa and Anna and then Chelsea and I will do Tomorrowland Speedway and Jacob and Marissa will do Space Mountain (1st MK day). 2nd MK day will probably be all 3 mountains, even though Chelsea won't ride any of them. Or I will just try to get those for the older kids and Chelsea and I will do something else. For Epcot, we will do Test Track, Mission: Space - Orange, and Spaceship Earth (since I didn't get to ride that last time). We don't really have any desire to ride Soarin'. I know. Shocker. Soaring over California doesn't really impress me...maybe I have been on it too many times, but we weren't really impressed the first time we saw it either. We keep trying it, thinking we will finally understand the hoopla, but nothing yet.
Animal Kingdom will be Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris and maybe one of the shows??? Haven't figured that one out yet. Chelsea really loves Primeval Whirl, so we could do that. We weren't impressed with Kali River Rapids. We didn't care for the theming and of all the river rapid rides we have been on...it was the most boring, to us. That is just my opinion though.

What are you thinking for FP+?

They don't get any less expensive either. BTW, your girls are just adorable

Glad to hear Olivia is back to herself and that hubby is doing well.

Eesh! How painful for your husband! And annoying cause you use your fingers for everything!! My step dad lost the tip of his finger once on a sharp screw. Healed nicely though...if a little short :rotfl:

Boo to puking kids! Hope the kiddo is back to 100%

Yeah, I'm thinking you need to post pics of the pins. I'm pretty sure its a rule or something ;):hyper::worship:

What are you thinking for FP+?

Is Chelsea too short for some of the rides, or does she just not like them? I know for us, since Maddie is too little, and Olivia too for some, we are splitting up the FP and using Rider Swap. So like for HS we will do 3 FP+ for us for TSM, and then We will do 2 for Star Tours, and when the hubs and Olivia ride it we will get a rider swap bc of Maddie and then Olivia and I can take a turn without me needing a FP+, and then I figure we can do 1 FP+ for RnRc and same thing, the hubs and I can take turns, while only using 1 FP+ etc......

For AK I think we will do the Safari, and then EE and Dinosaur and maybe Kali, we didnt ride Kali last time, but I know if I do ride it will be before park closing so that if we get wet I can go change, so I dont really know if we will need a FP for it...

I have most my days mapped out with what I would like to do for FP+, I think I will do a post on it soon!! Maybe tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Alright! So we are at 93 days to go, which means our next big thing we get to do is online check-in and of course FP+!!! I have been busy making my family some touring plans for each day, mostly I plan to “tour” in an order that doesn't have us backtracking or popping around a lot. My main goal is to save my feet! So this may have us utilizing FP+ at times that are not peak times to be used, but for me, I don't care... I just want to go easy this time and be able to explore the areas I am in when I am in them! ::yes::

This will work pretty well most days I've found, except our HS days, the first HS day will be a very short one, bc its arrival day and that day is basically all set. So we are left to fit a lot of wants in our second HS day...so that day will probably be a bit more rigorous than others. But thats ok, bc the following day is our "rest day" with the MNSSHP being the only thing we will do later that night!

FP+ has an hour window to use your FP in, but I imagine most things will not take an hour to do, and we will be able to do some exploring or other rides in there also. I have planned some of my FP+ times to overlap when we are doing other things on purpose bc there are some FP+ I want to be able to use and then use another one quickly after. Though some rides Chris and I will be rider swapping, so they could take close to an hour! We plan to try to rider swap right after we ride something unless I have noted that I plan to hang onto the rider swap ticket to use later. This helps in my plan to ride certain things at night without having to hold onto a FP+ until the evening! I can rider swap and come back at night, and still use my three choices so that we can pick more if we want! :cheer2:

So here are my FP+ plans and general plans for the first half of our trip, and I would love any feedback or if you see any issues with them! This is text heavy, so I wanted to break it up into two posts, I'll try to post the second half tomorrow. :thumbsup2

So there ya have it! Please, any input will be helpful. I have poured over this too long and there could be obvious conflicts I am not noticing. :faint:

I don't see any conflict, really. Some days are pretty aggressive and count on everything going without a hitch, but that's the way I plan as well. Of course with just Dan and I, we are totally flexible. When you add the little ones, it can go sideways in a heartbeat. But since your princesses are Disney pros now, your plans will probably be just fine. They are very well thought out.::yes::

I'm surprised Olivia likes the Dinosaur ride. When we took our DGD at age 5, she screamed and covered her head the entire time! I felt so badly for taking her on it, but she usually loves everything, so I thought she'd be okay. We did ride Triceratop spin 5 times in a row, though...:faint:

It sounds good to me.
But I am still trying to figure out this whole fast pass thing. When we went last the ONLY thing we used fastpasses for were when we got gifts of FP's from CM and a woman we met for Winnie the Pooh and Mickey's Philharmagic, and then the ones we ran ahead to get for Toy Story Mania, RNR and TOT, and Soarin'.
Everything else was walk on or short waits except for the fairies which I wish we had one for.
I am shocked that there is one for Livin with the land and Spaceship Earth as my only experience with both of those were of us being the only people in the whole park riding them. :)
So, I am just overwhelmed trying to figure out how to even do fastpasses and how to make them online for all of us and what to expect from the rides we don't get them for.
I will be very interested in seeing how your FP reservations day goes.

Yea, they are pretty well thought out, but with having to plan your FP+ so far in advanced you kinda have to really think about where you will be in the park at whatever time. It's a real pain. I'm hoping with low crowds it wont even matter much anyway.

Also, if we get off track its not a huge deal to me. Luckily you can adjust your FP+ in the park, and like I said, you may not even need them. But I do like having a plan off attack, it makes it easy for me to be able to get all the shows in I want and be mindful of experiences I don't want to miss. It's "organized fun" bahaha.... but we do good with that. It makes for less meltdowns for sure!

Olivia was def a little nervous on Dinosaur, she liked the ride part of it, but the dark and loud and flashing lights had her on edge. But I think she has a love of things that scare her a little bit, she must get it from me, I remember riding Haunted Mansion at a very young age and being scared but then wanting to go again. She is a little thrill seeker for sure! :cool1:

Me too! We didn't use a single FP last time. I honestly think a lot of things will be very short lines anyway, so I am not stressing about it, but I have been following easywdw and its showing now that rides like Living with the Land and SSE and Malestrom and Its a Small World are having waits because of FP+... crazy... so I'm just like whatever...

It really is kinda hard to think what to do, some parks its easy, like Epcot where you dont have many choices anyway, but Magic Kingdom is HARD! You really have to guess where you will be at in your day, hence the insane thought out planning. But now that I am putting it all to paper I rather like the plans, I think we will do so much better at not missing things we want to do! We missed several shows and experiences last time because we were in that area at the wrong time, or we forgot where it was at, or whatever, so this planning will at least help me remeber what we would like to do, even if we get off track.

Honestly, my main concern is running ahead of schedule too much. Having to wait an hour to use your next FP sucks sometimes. We had times in our last trip where we did SO MUCH in a short amount of time...

Oh no, hope your husband is doing better.

Love the makeovers!

Your plans are sounding great! :goodvibes

He is better, thank you! Back to work today on light duty for him!

Thank you! Planning is so my thing! :thumbsup2
