Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour

Hello everyone!

I am looking for some more information about this tour; there is very little information on the Disneyland website (or if it's there, please point me in the right direction, I can't find anything other than it is listed among available tours).

How much does this cost, per adult?
Is it available every day or only certain days?
What time(s) is it offered?
How long does it last?
What (generally) do you do or see?

Also, for anyone who has done this tour recently (in the last year or so), would you recommend it? We are two adults who have a fair amount of Disney background but certainly not experts.

There was an entire thread on this topic a few weeks ago. I'd put up a link, but my blackberry is not cooperative when I try to do that stuff. I'm sure someone on here will be able to direct you to the discussion. It convinced me to take the tour, I'm planning it as a suprise on my wife's birthday.

I did this tour in the summer of 2010. I thought it was OK but not as good as other tours I have been on. For more info see:

Pinocchio, somehow I haven't found that thread but I will search again, or maybe I'll just scroll back through a few pages of recent posts. I would like to read about what others thougth of the experience.

Hydroguy, what tours have you enjoyed more? Thanks for the link to the info, that answered my questions!

Any other recommendations (on whether to do or skip) would be great! I wish it were available in the afternoons. Any reason it might be better to do on one day versus another? (I'm thinking maybe do it on a day when there is no magic morning?)

The Holiday Tours, which you won't be there for.

You may like the Walk in Walt's Foot steps tour. It's about Disneyland and Walt which you may not know much about being from WDW.


Also in just a couple days word will be out about new tours. The ones in California Adventure had been stopped due to contruction which will be over when you visit. So maybe some will return or new ones wil take there place. An AP preview starting tomorrow is supposed to have information about new tours. So keep an eye out for the news.

Thank you, skiingfast, for the tip to be watching for some new tours coming out. This trip is just DH and me, so we are hoping to do at least one since we are interested (and the kids are not), and we probably won't get back to DL for a really long time.
