Do you have to have a reservation? A CM told me yes, but I thought I'd heard about people being to able to get a table without one.

I haven't seen people walk-in at Le Celier in years and years. For our last 3-4 trips all walk ins were being turned away.

miracles happen occasionally. But it takes a lot of pixie dust to get in as a walk in here.

We joke that the person at the podium should just post a sign that is visible from the main walkway.... sorta like the no vacancy signs at a motel. would save folks a lot of time and the poor person wouldn't have the question asked 40 zillion times in an hour.

The last few times we've been there (during some fairly slow periods) when people walk up, they are immeadiately told there is no availability for the entire night and are directed to a phone to call Disney Dining. Even with a reservation, we waited over a 1/2 hour. I'd make a reservation somewhere. One year the first week in Dec., a couple who tried to walk up to Le Cellier were told by dining their only dining choices in Epcot were Mexico and somewhere else. (Germany maybe?) They weren't very happy!

I've eaten at LeCellier my past 5 trips and each time all the walk up patrons were turned away. It's a very popular restaurant in EpCot so I would make a reservation if you are able.

You should have one absolutely but we were there on Saturday and at 1pm they had a podium open taking ressies for that day and we had a 6:45 ressie, checked in at 5:45 to see if they could take us earlier and we were seated in 5 minutes

I would say that nothing is impossible. But I would say that without a reservation it is highly unlikely. When we were there in January ALL of the walk ins were told sorry no room at the inn.

it also depends on what time of year, and what time you're trying to get a seat. If you're going to be there during a very busy time of year, probably not a chance. But if it's a slow, to moderately busy time of year, you might have a chance if you're willing to eat early. If you really want to eat there your best bet is to get an ADR.

Last May, mid-week just before Memorial Day Weekend, we had ADRs at Le Cellier for 5:15. When we checked in just after 5:00, they were taking walk-ups, and telling them 15 minutes wait time.

In January, just after MLK Jr. Day, when we walked past Le Cellier, we heard a woman telling her family the good news they would be seated within 20 minute. Again, that was for a fairly early dinner seating.

I would guess it's like all the other restaurants with getting backed up more as you get later seatings.

We were there in October and every walk-up was turned away (and there were alot!) We had a 45 minute wait for our ADR. The only restaurant that had an opening was Restaurant Marakesh everything else was completely booked. This was only a 3 blue people week!

Make a reservation if you want a table service for dinner!:thumbsup2

They usually have Cruella DeVil's sister at the podium turning people away that don't have reservations. The one time I forgot to make reservations and she was downright rude!!!

Anything is possible. On our last trip in August, we asked if a table was available for the 6 of us and they said yes. Mind you it was as they had just opened for dinner.

Usually though, it is the opposite, when we have had reservations and had to wait for our table, we could see all of the people w/o reservations being turned away.

It never hurts to ask.

Anything is possible but not probable. Le Cellier is the most popular restaurant right now.

We scored a walk up about 3 years ago (October) - it was a very late lunch - I think around 2.30pm - never hurts to try but an ADR is definitely advisable for this one.

Unfortunately, the words "walk-in" and "Le Cellier" don't belong in the same sentence! It doesn't seem to matter what time of year you go, either; people have caught on to the advance dining reservation (ADR) system, and so many people make reservations way in advance that the more popular restaurants are very hard to get into last-minute.

If you're interested in LC, I'd definitely recommend getting an ADR pretty far in advance. You might get lucky, but I wouldn't count on it!

Just last month while DH and I were waiting for our table about 6 or 7 different people tried to walk up in about 10 minutes and were all turned away. One guy even got very mad and said that they should keep some tables open just for walk-ins

I say ADR for dinner is a must at this coveted restaurant. Everytime we have gone that place is crazy busy and last couple times even with an ADR we had to wait over 30 min past the time of our ressie.. am happy to say was well worth it. Mushroom Filet melted in your mouth. As we have waited in the past they turned all walk ups away. But you are at Disney and people change there plans daily, so cancelations do happen just wouldnt plan on it if you can still make an ADR. Gl you will love it.:tinker:

It can happen. But I would still make an ADR.
