Walk from poly to GF?

I have a DR at GF 1900 PF. Would it be too much to walk over there or should we just hop on monorail?

It's an easy and pleasant 5 minute walk. I would skip the monorail.

If your room is close to TTC,your walk will be quite lenghty,but still doable.

From the very farthest room it would be about .75 miles so a very short, and also quite lovely, walk. Don't waste your time with the monorail.

We walk from the GF to the Poly often -- we love Kona's Café for breakfast, and we love the Tambu Lounge for beverages -- if we are going to Epcot for the day, we will walk to Kona and have breakfast and then walk to ttc and hop on the monorail for Epcot -- 8 short minutes later, we are there flying into future world!

I'd agree with the recommendations to just walk from the Poly to the GF. The only consideration might be the weather. If its too hot or storming, then the monorail would have the edge.

It's very close. I also vote for walk. Plus, no chance of delays or getting stuck.

Chiming in here as we are staying at Poly next year... is the walkway labeled (like it's obvious where to go)?

I'm assuming then you could technically also walk to CR, through TTC, or would that be a little too long?

The walkway between the Poly and GF is pretty obvious. Just head towards luau cove and follow the paver path to the Grand.

However, you cannot walk to the Contemporary from the Poly. There are no sidewalks between the TTC and the Contemporary.

I'd walk and leave earlier than you planned. Because you will want to take your camera as you will be able to get photos of places you would never think about. And you can see the Wedding Pavilion too. This is one of the nicest walks in all of Disney World.
