Walk from OKW to Westside?

I know there is a boat from OKW to DTD (docking at Marketplace), but I was wondering if it is easy to walk from OKW to Westside area - and back. On the maps, it looks like the distance from OKW to Westside is shorter than the distance from Rainforest Cafe (where the boat docks) to Cirque. Are there sidewalks from OKW? I realize some OKW buildings will be further than others.

Yes, there is a paved walking path from OKW to DTD Westside. I was planning to walk it, but never got "round tuit". However wrote down the directions:
Behind building 55 at OKW (South Point bus stop) immediately cross canal spillway. Follow along far side of canal towards Disney Institute and DTD. Cross bridge. Follow walking path to the left, not golf cart path to the right. Canal is on your left and you can see OKW to left on the other side. Canal joins main water canal that boats from OKW use. Path improves and has lights. Another bridge will enter from your left from Institute. Veer right, go past any golfers waiting to tee off. Enter by HOB.

These are the directions as I was told. Remember, since I didn't use them, I don't know how good they are.
