Walk from MGM to Epcot?

Hi! I am new here, and visiting the World this coming weekend. I was wondering if you can walk from MGM to Epcot, and if so, how far is it of a walk? Thanks!

You can walk it, but it is a hike.Probably about 20-30 minutes.You would follow the path that goes by the Boardwalk.It is nice to take the boat from MGM to Epcot.Still a good 20-30 minutes,but a relaxing ride.

Well, we just got back from our trip. We went to MGM in the morning and took the boat to Epcot in the afternoon. Our plan was to head back to MGM for the 7PM Illuminations show. Also had the car parked there. The last boat was at 7:30. We were running late at Epcot and there was no way we would make it back for the show. Dh asked a service member how long it would take to walk to MGM. He was told 10 minute. I know the boat ride was 25 min. but thought maybe there was a walk way or something. Anyways, we ended up staying to watch the show at Epcot and took the boat to the Boardwalk around 9:30. We figured we would walk from the Boardwalk to MGM. The boat driver was very nice and offered to drive us back to MGM since it was late and we had 4 kids. So to answer your question, it will take at least 30 minutes to walk depending if you have young children or not.

I agree with everyone it's a 20-30 minute walk from MGM to Epcot.

We do it a lot but then my kids are older - 14-10. We once RAN from Epcot to MGM to make the last Indiana Jones show. The kids were way ahead yelling c'mon Mom -- I keep telling them I"m old darn it! But they just won't believe me.

We walked with 2 kids from MGM to Epcot. We saw the 8pm show of Fantasmic at MGM. Then took the walkway from MGM to the Boardwalk. Stopped for icecream and walked to Epcot. We arrived with plenty of time to spare to stake out a good viewing spot for Illuminations. We culd've also taken the ferry from MGM but that would've made stops at Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC, BW and then Epcot. We always find it faster to walk. We were staying at the BW so we didn't have to worry about getting to our car or back to another resort. Just a short walk from Epcot to the BW.

DD16 and I walked from MGM to EPCOT last November after Fantasmic. We timed it from the start of the walkway. It took us 30 minutes walking quickly to get there.
