Walk from FW to WL?

Can anyone tell me how long the walk is from FW to WL? Time or distance. We're doing the carriage ride at FW and then having dinner at AP in about a week and a half. I've heard it's dark. If we brought along a flashlight would it be safe?

When I made my ressies for our carriage ride the cm said since we were staying at the WL the carriage could drop us back off there.

Whoa, for a minute I thought you were trying to walk from Future World to WL.

DH and I ended up walking the path from WL to FW at dusk. It is lovely. Just watch out for loud sounds from the harmless armidillos in the bush. DH still laughs at me. It took us about a half an hour to walk the distance. One of our best memories!

Dcat2u...thanks for the info. We have two carriage rides booked back to back so maybe the first part of my family can do the hike and the second group asked to be dropped off at the WL.

I believe the "official" distance is slightly over a mile, but I swear its longer. Maybe thats because it was sweltering hot and we had our 3 year old daughter yelling in our ear "are we there yet?" I thought it was easily 2 miles, but I checked in one of the guide books and it was a lot less.
