Walgreens deals....what are YOU buying this week?

The problem I ran into was the store not having the item I wanted and I also didn't realize that the P&G products were excluded when redeeming. i did get items I needed though, but def. not as good of a deal as I was hoping.
Another question, you can only use 1 RR at checkout at a time correct??

A store let me use two yesterday on a $17.99 item and a $4.99 item. The cashier said, "let's try it and see if it works." I knew it did as long as I had 2 items (didn't have other coupons).

I'm trying to decide if it's worth going back for more covergirl. I don't need the cheapo eye pencils but maybe some nail polish and mascara--stuff I'll actually use (and the free blush, which I don't use but it's free and I can donate to the women's shelter at least) It won't be as huge of a moneymaker and it's not like I NEED those things, though.... My stores never have toothpaste and I used all my $1 coupons anyway so I don't think anything else compares.

I've heard that the Old Spice body wash is spitting out $2 catalina coupons. So if you get some of those using the $2 coupons, it isn't a bad deal. I'm going to try this myself tonight or tomorrow. My friend likes the old spice body wash, so I am going to surprise him with a couple ... or 3 ... or 9?

I stopped at Walgreens on my way home from work and I made a stupid mistake. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess that is what happens when you have a hard day and work late and then try to go couponing!!

I stopped in to see if this Walgreens had any of the ProHealth toothpaste. Well they did. But I decided to do the Venus razor deal first, so I could roll those RR into the ProHealth deal.

So I pick up a Venus razor (9.99) and I think I need to get a filler so I could use my razor coupon AND a $10 RR from the Covergirl deal. So I go over and get a small pack of Kleenex for .39. I go up to the register and hand her my razor and kleenex. I then give her my $4 venus razor coupon and the $10 RR. She says, "You can't use this $10 RR because your total is only $7 something." I forgot to factor in the coupon. So I say can you void this and I will get something else. She says, No, just go ahead and pick something out. So there I am having to think quickly about what to get. So I say I will do the 2 Nabisco cookies because I seemed to remember reading that they were giving RR. She says, "Aisle 9." So I run down there and grab 2 cookies of the shelf and run back to the register. I wasn't even positive those were the right cookies, but I thought they were and a line was forming. So I DID end up getting the $6 for the Venus and the $3 for the cookies. Not too bad of a deal on the fly, but a little more OOP than I normally like to spend. PLUS by this time I no longer needed the .39 Kleenex filler, but I didn't think about that until after I checked out.

So here was my deal:
Venus Embrace razor 9.99
Walgreens Pocket Kleenex .29
Nabisco Oreo 2.50
Nabisco Chips Ahoy 2.50
-$4 venus coupon
-$10 RR from Covergirl deal
Subtotal 1.28
9.25% tax .95
2.25% tax .11
Total $2.34

And I got back a $6 RR and a $3 RR. I just have to figure out a good way to roll these into the P&G deal.

I just read on hotcouponworld that theoretically you are supposed to buy milk along with the 2 packs of cookies to get the $3 RR. Although it is working if you only buy the 2 packs of cookies. I didn't know about the milk part when I bought the cookies discussed above. So I am not advocating "cheating" the system by not buying the milk.

Any great RR deals this week?? I can't wait I just got on the bandwagon. Wish I had seen this thread earlier in the week. I just got back from my trip and 9 crest tps & 6 new nail covergirl nail colors later I have 40 RRs!!! Although my total 19.85 I'm still ahead

I still made out pretty well doing the CG deal and a combination of CG and Charmin wipes. Although I totally forgot to give the 7-day coupon for the Charmin I was still able to come out a bit ahead, plus I got some other things I've been needing too. I don't think I'll even attempt to roll these RRs though. I'll just stick with CVS!

I stopped at my walgreens yesterday and was surprised to find 9 toothpastes! It worked out great. I had 4 coupons plus the ES coupon. I owed $6 something. But the cashier wouldn't let me use a register reward to pay for it. She said I couldn't use ANY RR on a deal that produced RR. I tried to argue with her but she called the manager and he agreed. I figured I was still ahead of the game only paying $6 to get $20 back. But it was really hard for me to pay cash for toothpaste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I understand I'm really just investing $6 into the $20.

$5 Zantac coupon from coupons.walgreens.com (manager had to be called to adjust it to $4.99 - he said I couldn't use it because he couldn't see the picture clear enough to see the "count" so I had to point out that it said "ANY Maximum Strength Zantac 150" clearly in the words. That's a new one, the picture is about 1/4" x 1/4" so to see the count number would be nothing short of a miracle!

7 cents! (MN doesn't have sales tax on OTC meds and food, but there was tax on the 2 candy bars)

I had $20 in RRs expiring today, but luckily the 5/20 coupon came out before I used them. I just went and did 2 transactions: I got some FAR items and also Aveeno sunblock, Sunsilk styling products (B2GO free with a BOGO free coupon), and 2 gallons of milk. My total was less than $1 OOP! On my second transaction, they actually GAVE me 75 cents back! I have no idea why but I'm not complaining! Plus I'll get about $16 back after I do my rebates.

I do have a question for those of you who do the Free after Mail In Rebate items. I found all of these items in stock at my Walgreens, but some of them cost more than the rebate price listed in the Easy Saver book. For example, the Nexcare Cold Sore Treatment was on the shelf for $14.99, while the rebate book says $8.99. It was the same size and everything. Do you think I'd be able to get the prices adjusted?

I think I'll take a break from Walgreens now, unless a really good deal like the P&G one comes around again.
