Heard a while back that Wal-mart were in the process of constructing a new store on the US27 just after the 192 turn off.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so is it open.

Will be staying on the US27 in October and the boss is busy doing the shopping list and she is a big Wal-mart shopper

Interesting, I hope its true.

The Wal-Mart website doesnt show a store on US 27 yet (apart from the one in Haines City (about 8m from the 192). Possibly underconstruction though......anyone spotted one going up recently??

I stayed off the 27 last July and Publix had just opened a store at that location. I saw nothing of a Walmart store construction.

We were there at Easter, staying at Esprit which is very near the 27/192 junction. There was no sign of a Walmart (ie billboards or construction notices etc.) but there was site clearance going on behind Denny's. However, I would have thought that Publix would have had something to say about sharig a location since Walmarts now have a fairly extensive food section
