I promise i'm not trying to get in the middle of something here, but thought I would explain waht waking Tinkerbell is all about.
The place to do this is "Tinkerbell's Treasures" which is a shop in Fantasyland. Go through the castle and you will see it on your left. The first child that gets there and asks to wake up Tinkerbell will have the privelage.
That child will stand on a stool behind the counter with a wand in hand. they will tap on a small chest 3 times, saying "Wake Up Tinkerbell!" At this point, there will be a flash of light around the room, and a certain pixie tinkle noise. said child will then be walked over to the top drawer of the dresser where they can look through the keyhole to see where Tink has flown to. Said child will then be issued with a Magical Moments certificate and a few stickers. If they are the right age, they will truly believe in the magic of what they have done
, like my DD5 did last january. I have to say, i was one of the eager mothers who ran all the way down main St
(its longer than it looks you know), only to be confronted with a rope drop at the castle
. We then bolted into the shop at rope drop. this was january and I don't think I truly needed to take these measures in hindsight and do feel a bit silly. However, we have done it now and I promise not to be so silly again. next time, i will just walk
