We leave in a few hours to spend the holidays with my in-laws. I'm baking a batch of sausage balls to take to them. It's so early, but the house smells good!

Anybody want one? :D

I forgot to ask. Who else is baking with 2 days to go? What are you making? :D

Morning Olena....hmmm, sausage balls sound yummy! Sure wish I could smell them all the way over here.

No baking for me this year, with the exception of 28 gingerbread houses. The neighborhood kids decorated them yesterday so they are out of here!...and i'm done!

have a wonderful holiday, Olena.!

I was up til midnight baking cookies for my dd's party at school. I also made 3 coffee cakes for my 5yo dd to take to school for the teachers. I haven't even started making desserts for after Christmas dinner. Come to think of it, I haven't even gone shopping for the food yet. Better get my act together today!

Let's see--

I'm making an Egg Bake for brunch. Cheddar Cheese soup for dinner, and DS and I have a batch of fudge and a batch of sugar cookies still to go.

Ackkkkk!!

I will be baking cookies tonight and getting the pies ready for baking tomorrow.

I made cupcakes last night for DS's Kindergarten party today...all done that, now I have to get the stuff I need for the veggie platter that I am responsible for on Christmas Eve! :)

I've been baking up a storm! Gingerbread cookies, cookie press cookies, kiffels, meringues (sp), baklava. Today I'm making peanutbutter kiss cookies and sugar cut-outs. I'm tired just thinking about it.

Still have to bake two batches of chess bars - one vanilla and one strawberry; earthquake cake; toffee squares. Not to mention shrimp dip, spinach dip, get stuff for veggie tray. We do deli type sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts on Christmas. Oh, and did I mention I still have a ton of wrapping to do???!?!

making choc. chip cookies and choc. covered cornflakes today, then I'm done! have some other cookies in the freezer. MIL is bringing a cheesecake for christmas day, cookies will be christmas eve and christmas day. Brown bread is also in the freezer just waiting for christmas morning.

My goal this year was to keep it simple (pg with twins) and I think I've met my goal.

Made frosted sugar cookies and Buckeye balls yesterday, and tonight I'll make caramel turtle brownies. Tomorrow I'll make mini cheesecakes.

I don't bake until Christmas and then it gets out of hand. I bake cakes as Christmas gifts, They don't take up space, never the wrong size, and never got one returned.
This week 9 rum cakes, 5 pound cakes (they were all gifts) sausage balls last night for oldest son request and Choc. chip cookies for younger son.
For our Christmas dessert a cheese cake from Sam's. I really don't want cake.
I love Christmas and it is a special time.

Wow, I see I'm not alone!

I fear for this month's electric bill! :p

I made nearly 6 batches of chocolate chip and butter cookies... whew! Now to make fudge and red velvet cakes and my "famous" baked donuts!

Heather, you gave me an idea with those sausage balls! The first one I ever tasted was from one of Michael's friend's Mom's. They were awesome. I think she made hers from Bisquick, cheese and sausage. Is that how you make yours?

Yum!

Made lemon bars and butter sandwich cookies yesterday. Making sugar cookies right now and made magic bars this AM. It's all worth it - no one else in the family bakes - so I do it for everyone.

Robin,

"my "famous" baked donuts"
Those sound awesome. Would you mind sharing your recipe?

:o I thought something completely different when reading the title to this thread:o
