Wake Up Tink - Up and Running Now?

We are headed to the World next weekend and I'd like to try to have DD wake up Tink. But, I had heard that Tink was a little under the weather and not working recently. Does anyone know if she is feeling better yet?

The first little person (or grown up!) in the store in the castle can ask to "Wake up Tink." But, I had heard last week that the "effect" was broken and I was just wondering if it's up and about again?

Just back from the World last night. My DD didn't get to wake up Tink but we saw her on Tuesday 10/12. She was on and already awake so I guess everything is ok.

A friend just came back from WDW, said Tink was working 2 days ago!

Anyway, I don't want to deprive any child of the joy of waking Tink but I sure would like to see it. Anybody have any idea how soon after park opening I should be in the store? Do I need to haul butt from the gate or do you think I can just briskly walk back there and witness it?

Is it the store just to the left after you come out from under the castle into Fantasyland?

I think that if you want to see the waking of Tink, plan on being there as the park opens. It only happens once a day. The store is Tinkerbell's Treasures and is located on the left after you pass through the castle. I didn't see the waking of Tink but here is what is supposed to happen...

They give the kids a "magic wand" and they tap on the box three times and each time said, getting a little louder each time, "Wake up Tinkerbell". And then a light kind of floats across the room and a sound comes and Tink has woken up.

If you miss the waking, you can still see Tink by looking in the key hole of the chest.

How funny, I thought that Tink would come out or something and we could get pictures. I guess I can take a pic of the light.

I'm SO excited that Tink seems to be all better now! I'm gonna try and get there 1st thing on Sunday or Monday (Monday, we're there early for CRT PS"s!)

My DD and DS woke up Tink the day after Jeanne went through (Sept 27) Tink was under the weather then, so they just got to tap the wand to the treasure box which opened up, but there was no "buzzing around or light show". The lady then just took the kids over to the dresser to show them where Tink spends her day (look in the keyhole!). THe kids got stickers - no certificate like I've heard others getting.

I am so glad you said you want to do it on Monday! I was debating trying for my DD on Saturday for her first trip into the park or on Monday for her birthday - so we will try for Saturday now - but if we don't see her wake up - she would be fine to jsut say the Wake up Tink part - maybe we will see you there on Monday!

My daughter was able to do this. Yes you have to haul butt to get there. It was very, very cute to watch her do it.

GaTech pretty much explaned what happens. When she was done they gave her some Tink stickers and a Magical Moments Cert.
