The last time we were at WDW we stayed at Pop. It was our first visit. We scheduled a wake up call for just about every morning but never once heard any character voices. I think we were there about 8 days. What did we do wrong?

What did you hear when you answered the phone, was there music? Sometimes we hear music at first, but if you stay on the line you'll hear Mickey & Stitch. My kids get a real kick out of the wake-up call.

Yes & sometimes there was a delay. Now back in the day they always said pick a off time so I would do 7:07 instead of 7. And I would just hit the speaker phone button, not pick the the handset.

DH picked up the phone every morning and he said it was always just quiet. It must be quite a long delay. We did a wake up call to go back to fantasmic and I answered the phone and nothing happened either.

We had the same problem. 8 days I set it and not once did we get to hear anything. The first two times I just waited and waited. The third time, I pressed the speaker phone and let it sit there for 5 minutes. It definitely wasn't a delay, there just wasn't anything there. After that I picked it up waited about 30 seconds or so and then just hung up disappointed.

Fortunately I never told the kids-- I wanted to surprise them-- so they weren't disappointed. But every morning that I got that call with nothing there really irritated me.

We were there over Thanksgiving, and it took quite a while for the character voices to start, but it wasn't 5 full minutes. It seemed forever, though.

I will try to remember to ask about it when we go back. Maybe they can tell me why it didn't work. I thought for some reason they stopped doing it, but I am reading that others here have had the calls from stitch so I know they still are. Thanks.

They're definitely still there. DH & I ran the Disney marathon a couple of weeks ago. We had to get up at 3:00 AM :crazy2: the morning of the race and Mickey & Stitch were on the wake-up call.

Stich scared my dd6 when she answered the first time( Last week ) .only got nothing once

Oh no! This HAS to work, it's one of the things my 8yo still talks about from our trip when he was 5. 'NO MORE SLEEEEEPINNG!!' in his best Stitch scream/voice!

We arrive tomorrow and if it doesn't work, he'll be crushed. Crossing fingers!

Awwwwww, I forgot about the wake up calls when we were there in Sept. :sad2:
I'll have to remember during our trip in Dec.

We were there in June '08 and stayed at POR. I wanted to add as much disney magic to our trip so I was excited about the wake-up calls. I asked at check in and they looked at me like I was crazy and told me there were alarm clocks in the room. :sad1:

It's an automated thing that you set up with your phone.

We received the calls at the right times every day, but never got a message.

In all honesty, I HATE the Stitch wake up call. I miss the Hiya Pal from Mickey each morning. I can't understand anything Stitch screams. It's just a bunch of noise. ARGH!!

is it a special button you push on the phone to set it up or do you call the front desk like a regular wake up call? Maybe we were doing it wrong.

There's a "wake-up call" button on your phone.

I think that is what he did. That is probably the only way to set up a wake up call...and the phone did always ring when we planned but just never a voice. I will check on that next time for sure. Thanks.

We used the wake up call button every time on our last trip (November, ASSp). We got silence 7 times (all in the morning) and Stitch once. Our Stitch came in the afternoon one day when we took a nap.

I have to agree, I'd rather get Stitch then silence, but really miss the Mickey wake up call...

We used it at Sports in December. It didn't work nearly as well as it did in 2006, the voices were garbled part of the time and sometimes we got silence.
