Waitlists?? Should you call from time to time??

I had read on another board that they do not fill waitlists until a certain time of day, that it was not a instant waitlist fill as it comes in. So to test this theroy I had called from time to time to check on my waitlist and the one day when i called I was still waitlisted for a 1 bdrm at ssr on dec 9 and I had her check to see if anything was available and there was so I booked it. I was also told to not waitlist long blocks together but to do them separate and fill in as available.

I've been wondering if I needed to book our dates like that. I'll call in this morning and see what nights are open during our stay. Maybe that will help....If not, we'll at least get to check out 2 different resorts, right?

I called in this morning and had the most amazing MS rep. Her name is Jasmine. I asked for the Friday and Saturday night availability at BCV. The computer said Friday was available but Saturday was not. Then she said that she would call BCV direct and see what she could do and put me on hold. BUT THEN THE PHONE DISCONNECTED!! She actually called me back, "found" availabilty on Saturday night, and managed to work the system to that she could pick up those 2 nights for me without having to go into my next use year to "borrow" points to hold the ressie!

She went so far above and beyond what you would expect! This is the magic of Disney! 9 nights at the BCV, 6 of which came with less than 30 days out!!

I'm only 2 weeks out from my vacation, and I've been checking online everyday. My waitlist autoconfirmed yesterday!!

Thank you for posting this information! I'm 3 1/2 weeks out from my vacation and still waiting. You've given me hope.
To the OP, I've gotten real mixed messages about calling for the waitlist. One time, I got a rather snotty CM who told me in no uncertan terms, "You don't have to call-we'll take care of it automatically." Well, in fairness to the CM, he probably was just overworked from so many phone calls and didn't mean to be snotty. But then yesterday, the CM I spoke with encouraged me to call anytime to check on the waitlist. But I check the member website 2-3 times a day instead.

I just called, no luck for me. I am only missing ONE day for my reservation right in the middle of my stay. I had them put me on a waitlist for a studio and 1 bedroom just incase those come through and then we would just switch rooms during our stay.
My goal is to get my entire stay in November for a 2 bedroom at the BCV
