I’m booking for a family of five for the VGC. I’m a DVC member, my family wants to go from June 22-27. We are a family of five and hoping for a two bedroom villa. We got two waitlists at VGC and I’m just wondering, what is the realistic chance of us getting in. Thank you guys so much for the help :)))

I’ve attemped several waitlists from studio to 2-BRs. Usually a day here or a day there; since 2019.

Zero success. So the answer is slim to none. 😭

Can you get on right at 8am ET tomorrow to try for June 23-27? at least then you're only waitlisting 1 night.

We were planning on that actually, it’s jsut so hard to pull off as there is so few rooms, they are gone within literal seconds

I get it - I do think 2 BR might last a tiny bit longer but I agree to try dedicated 2BR and be one of those people refreshing before 8am so you have the best possible chance!

It looks like June 23-27 is a

It appears June 23-27 is available for a 2 bedroom dedicated. Can you just snag that and waitlist the one night? Worst case you could stay at a great good-neighbor hotel for one night first.

Woo hoo! Yes VGC is the overall hardest hotel at 7 months. Others may have hard categories or be harder than others…. But VGC is very small!

Be sure to check out the somewhat hidden entrance right by the DVC wing. It’s officially for Pixar Pier guests, but in reality GC guests can use it too. It’s steps away from the rooms and enters right by corn dog castle. The easiest way to find it from the hotel is look for the laundry room and grills area. Go out those doors and go left on the path.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, I actually heard abt this entrance before. My only question is, how do they know if you’re a hotel guest? Just bc I don’t wanna go there and then get yelled at by cast members for not being a Pixar Pier guest lol

I've only heard that they care even a little bit about this first thing in the early AM and even then it's 50/50. As our little ones hate to get up that early we never rope drop and each time we go that way the security CMs are awesome and seem happy to see us. They talk to my kids, many remember them and talk about what they said the day before and such. They also encourage us to come back that way as I think it's likely the easiest post of any DLR Security CM, but if we stop going that way Disney will shut it down.

PSA: Pool CMs don’t allow shortcut across the pool to DVC wing anymore!

Good to know. This last trip I tried something new and 99% of the time would just stay in the park and go around to the Corn Dog Castle exit. It's not as efficient, but I was trying to enjoy the lights/sounds of the park a bit more and check out the holiday decorations :)

I was just coming here to write that I had a waitlist come through for VGC in early June of next year. I had 2 individual nights for a STUDIO and BOTH came through! Truly couldn’t believe it. I’m so glad though to see you were able to book the room you wanted! I hope you have a magical vacation :)

They did ask for a room key for rope drop, but it was also early entrance time. I stopped by the desk and picked up actual keys to show when the line was short, but I believe I was able to also show the mobile key or the my plans section of the app. There were a few DVC families in line and we all had zero trouble.

Thank you so much for letting me know about this. Staying at this hotel has always seemed so cool to me because of things like this, the fact you get a special entrance (in this case, TWO) to a whole Disney park is just crazy to me. I’ll be sure to let my family know about the extra entrance :)
