Waitlist

Can you waitlist for "anything" available on certain dates? In other words I know when I can go and I don't care where we stay so I'll take anything. I would like to narrow it down to a certain room size but any location would do.

I think so - but you might not be very popular with the MS CM when you ask, LOL! (Probably requires lots of typing on his/her part to waitlist every size unit at every DVC resort, especially if it is for severl days on an individual basis). If I ever did that, I'd be sure to ask them to call me before they actually book anything (rather than do auto book). I'd hate to wind up moving every day of my stay or having two reservations for the same night, LOL.

Would you really take a Grand Villa at BWV if that was the only thing available?

I was curious if there was a function on the system that looked everywhere every day. I did mention that I would like to limit the room size option so if I needed a grand villa then yes I would like that. I wasn't sure if a waitlist was per day or per a set date range. Just still learning the system and like everyone here mentions timesharing with DVC isn't like timesharing with our other weeks.

Sorry I misread you post re limiting to certain room sizes.

You can waitlist per day or you can waitlist for a range. Chances are better if you it do per day - DVC will not hold individual days for you waiting for the whole range to come available. However, if you do the per day method, you run the risk of having to move back and forth during your stay.
