Waitlist Strategy-WWYD?

I am wanting to book a 3 night stay at AKL-studio from May 1-4. Right now, the first and last night are available but not the middle night. Should I book the 2 available nights and waitlist the second night, or book SSR as a back-up and waitlist all 3 AKV nights? My concern is not getting the middle night and be forced to move. Thoughts?

I would book the 2 nights and waitlist the second. Also stalk the website for the second night. Right now SSR has a studio available every night in April, May & June, I wouldn't worry about it selling out anytime soon.
