Waitlist question

I've never been put on the waitlist before but this year I lost track of time and didn't call in time to get standard BWV so I booked preferred and waitlisted for standard.

My question is how do they notify you if your waitlist comes through? By mail or do they call or email you? Can you call yourself to check the status?

If you didn't tell them that you wanted automatic confirmation then they will likely call you and you will have 24 hours to respond for the reservation. If you have automatic confirmation then they just make the reservation for you when your name is on the top of the list and send you a confirmation letter in the mail.

What information can MS tell you about being on the waitlist, we are currently waitlisted at BCV for 21st and 22nd of December for a 2Bed Dedicated.

But when I asked how long the waitlist was, I was told the computer doesn't tell them how long it is or your position in it.

Is this everyone elses experience.

I think so. I was only on the waitlist once and the MS CM could not tell me where I was on the waitlist. Said it was their policy not to tell. He did say that if the waitlist is too full (absolutely no chance of working for you), they won't put you on it at all. HTH.
