Waitlist Question

We are wanting to book Aulani for 7 nights. I went ahead and booked the 6 available nights (the first night of our trip was unavailable) and would like to waitlist to complete our reservation. Having never used the waitlist before, I am unsure whether we should set up a waitlist reservation for the first night or a waitlist for the entire 7 nights (choosing the option to have the waitlist reservation cancel the original 6 night reservation). Any advice?

Definitely just wait list the one night. You can have them linked if it comes through. You have a much better chance of just 1 night coming through, and I really don't think there is a need to wait list nights you already have secured. Good luck!

Just wanted to say that I came to this forum today to ask this EXACT same question (except my stay is at Animal Kingdom Resort instead) and was very happy to see it already asked AND answered very recently! Thanks!

One thing -- if I DO get the waitlisted extra day -- I assume that I then just call Member Services and ask if they can combine the two consecutive reservations into one, correct?

Yes. You will get a new confirmation with the entire reservation on it. I have a waitlist pending for October. I'm curious to see if I get it!

I just submitted a waitlist request for the first time. We are taking a last-minute trip in November for MineCon (the Minecraft conference). SSR had studios available a few weeks ago, but I didn't want to book before I had conference tickets in hand.

I was able to get conference tickets Wednesday, but no rooms remained at SSR or anywhere else.

Yesterday I was able to find a studio at KV for the first night. I waitlisted the second night. I hope it comes through.
