Questions for those who understand the finer details of waitlisting....

We're looking to be at Disney January1-8 2022. First three nights at Vero beach... available and not a problem. Jan 4-8 at Disney... problem. Need to waitlist due to marathon week.

We need a 2 bedroom, and I'm thinking to waitlist any OKW or SSR 2 bedroom to increase our odds.

1. Is there any way for me to create a multi resort waitlist online, or do I need to call member services for this? I'm guessing I could create multiple waitlists online, and just cancel the duplicates when one comes through. However I don't have enough points to cover more than one of the waitlists in the event 2 came through before I could cancel the others (and I don't want points to automatically borrow and risk having 2 reservations).

2. Think I have much chance of a 2 bedroom opening up January 4-8 (marathon week)?

Thanks for any advice in advance!

You can create up to 2 wait list entries online your self. You just go through the process of trying to book a room and select the wait list option. You repeat this for the second one.

As long as both wait lists are for the same dates and same guests, MS will cancel the the 2nd wait list entry if one comes through.

Thanks for the info. I assume different booking categories each need a waitlist. For example, to maximize odds it would make sense to waitlist OKW standard and near hospitality house, and SSR standard and preferred.

So that would be 4 different options... will member services do that or is 2 the maximum both online and in person?

You can have up to 2 wait list entries active at any one time during a Use Year.

And yes, each booking category would be separate.

Only 2 total..... Standard for both resorts would be your best option. You will be lucky if you get the standard.

When waitlisting, do all the points need to be in the good useyear? My question is , will MS be able to borrow the few missing points?

There will be a drop list where you have to authorize borrowing to complete the wait list if it comes through.
