Waitlist came through with NO need to follow-up

When I put myself on the waitlist for a Boardwalk studio (either view or non view) I was wondering if I needed to keep following up (something I did not want to do).

Today, I got mail, confirming my reservation for a BoardWalk Studio, with a garden/pool view.

I never had to make any sort of follow up call at all.

My dates are May 12-16.

I didn't make this reservation at the 7 month window. I made it closer to the 3 and a half month window.

I guess I still need to call, to insure that they didn't keep my VWL reservation, giving me two reservations when I only need one.

When you call MS and ask to go on a waitlist they should ask you if you want an automatic switch or to be notified. The CM must have just chosen automatic for you. I lucked out as well. This is our first DVC trip and I booked OKW with a waitlist for BCV about 5 months out and received the comformation for BCV a week or so after my initial confirmation.
You can call to put your mind at ease, but unless you have a ton of points you would not be double booked.
