Waitlist came through BWV 2 bedroom. Boardwalk View!!!!

Wow.... We are going to Disney June 8th- 15th. to celebrate birthdays and DD's high school graduation. We were able to book preferred view at time of booking but waitlisted for the "Boardwalk View".. my DD's love the Boardwalk. Today in the mail came the confirmation of a Boardwalk view.. I am so excited. We have stayed at BWV many times but we have never had a boardwalk view.

Any room suggestions? Can you actually see the firerworks from the Boardwalk side?

Yes, but if you are still awake and moving about, you can walk about 1/8th of a mile down to a bridge that is right outside of epcot and get a closer view.

You will have a blast. Set aside one night to simply spend on the boardwalk watching the street performers. It's wonderful.

We are on a waitlist for a preferred view for the exact dates of your trip. Can you tell me when you got on the waitlist? I was about to give up hope of any chance of this one coming through.............

I'm new to DVC and didn't know there was more than just the "standard" and "preferred" categories........

CONGRATS !! We almost always book BW view and LOVE it! The only request I make is for an upper floor - you can see the most Illuminations fireworks that way (although you are only able to see the highest fireworks from any room - you cannot see the whole show) - the further down the loooong hallway you are, the better the fireworks view (IMHO) - and don't forget to look 'over' YC/BC if you're on the balcony during Wishes - a great view of those fireworks also. ENJOY!

good tip. didn't even notice this until my last stay at BWV.

the view across at the bc & yc is what is so nice.

the fireworks it is better to walk to the hill above IG.

Thanks for the tips.. We got on the waitlist at approx. 6 months out. I hope you get the preferred view you are looking for. We have stayed many times with standard view and if you overlook the parking lot side...you can see the Epcot fireworks over the top of Boardwalk Inn...
