We had tried booking a Beach Club studio for Oct 2-7, 2011 back at 7 months with no luck (right at the beginning of F&W so I wasn't surprised)...so we had put a waitlist on it! Well, we had called back MS several times that day to change our plans around and decided instead to book mid-September at BCV and got our family and such to make a big vacation out of it! I didn't realize they still had us under the waitlist, and we had exhausted every last point doing the big family trip, so I was surprised when we got a call last week that our waitlist came through for the 5 nights and we were offered the dates! Of course we didn't change it, so it went to the next person, but it gave me hope that in the future there is always a chance! I didn't expect to get that waitlist because it was for 5 nights in a studio during F&W, but looks like there is pixie dust to be found everywhere!
Moral of the story, do it even if you think there's no chance. Had we kept our vacation that week we would have been thrilled of course! Total surprise!
