Waitlist 31 - 60 days out?

I am currently on the waitlist for two nights of our October trip. I have opted for 'automatic confirmation'.

From reading the guidebook, I understand that there are points issues after the 31 day threshold, but it also appears to suggest that there is no 'automatic confirmation' from 60 days out.

If I have understood this correctly, does it mean that if I remain on the waitlist after 60 days out I will have to have the telephone confirmation in place?

I'm not sure about the 60 day out question. I do know that you have to call/e-mail them and let them know you want to stay on the list once you hit 30 days out.
