Waiting to here back from Disney on ROFR

I am convinced they not only look at the specificis of your contract (points, price, UY, closing costs), but also about your history w Disney (where u stay and how often you come). I think if you stay at values or come less often it would be a positive thing.

I could be wrong....

I don't know. This last summer was the first time I had ever stayed at a Disney Hotel. My sister is a DVC member and we stayed 5 nights at the AKV and 4 at The Boardwalk. When they book it for us I insisted that it was not worth the money to stay at a Disney hotel when I could Priceline a 3 star hotel for $40 a night. My brother-in-law insisted and booked the room with their points. By the end of the trip I was trying to find out how we could by a DVC membership. I really fell in love with AKV. I admit I was wrong! I guess everyone has the right to be wrong once ;).

I passed ROFR for OKW at $65, with a fully loaded contract. I post on DIS. I really do NOT think DVC checks your history with WDW stays or DIS postings!

My AKV was ROFR'D. My husband is not sure he wants to put in another offer. I am going to try to talk to him about one more time but I am definite the bigger Disney fan in my marriage. I am really surprised they bought back 200pt at $84. I see that last month one was passed for $84 on only 110pt. Dos anyone think that maybe they are more likely to buy it back if you are posting on the board?

I have offered for 3 contracts and passed ROFR on all of them. None of them were stripped, all current points were available and the last one was fully loaded.(please don't let this jinx my next contract)

Posting on this board doesn't make a difference. I think, there are several factors involved, but the most important on is "Can Disney make money off the resale?" MO

I didn't go for the "best" deal on my first contract. I probably paid $200-$300 more than the going rate....I wanted to get my foot in the door. I think, members have a little edge. MO

We can all speculate on the mysterious reasons why Disney exercises ROFR on one contract and not another (I think they place all the contracts on a wall and throw darts to pick the ones to exercise ROFR :lmao:).
I know we'd like to think we could figure out a way to beat the system. Casino popularity is proof of that fallacy. Some people just get lucky...heck, a blind hog can find an acorn every once in a while!
My point is, offer a fair price for the product received and hope and pray for the best. If it passes :yay:, if not :sad2:, try, try again. "Good things come to those who wait" - Abraham Lincoln
I'm living proof of that. I've been following the New Orleans Saints for 42 years and they have finally arrived!! :worship:

Now, let's see if my offer of $32/point for BLT, double 2009 points, free park admission and complimentary adult beverages on the roof top deck will pass!

I follow the Seahawks, I wondering what will happen first, the hawks will find their game or I will pass ROFR.

After this last Sunday I think you are right. I am at it again. Contract number 4; 160 pt at the AKV $85. Hope this one makes it.

I feel your DVC pain, I got ROFR's today... on to #2.

But my football team is having a great year!

WHO DAT say dey gonna beat dem Saints!

ROFRd AGAIN!!!
Third times a charm right?
SSR 200 points $72.00/point. All 09 and 10 points.

That can't be ROFR'd! Disney passed on my 210 SSR @65/point with all 09 and 10 points just last week. Right now I don't understand how mine went through with what I was seeing bought back both before and after mine went through....but 72/point, no way they would buy that back, right? It's almost like they they buy back whatever has your name on it....

Sorry! That's my new contract. The ROFRd one was 250 SSR $69.00/point w/all 08, 09 and 10 pts. I think these loaded contracts are killing me. Trying again with a slightly less loaded contract at $72.00/point. Seeing as we travel in Febraury a Febuary use yr is like getting 08 points. To us anyway!
If this one doesn't pass then I give up!

Don't give up! And don't let Disney dictate where fair market value is on SSR contracts. Bid what you think is the right price is and let them keep buying it back - that is my feeling on the subject... If Disney is fine with all the SSR inventory they have / are buying... so be it. Seems to me they don't have that much demand at $100/pt at SSR, and will either have to capitulate to market forces or hold on to excess inventory.

We're waiting, too. Our contract is 150 points at SSR, 96 '09 points and all of 10 points. We submitted around Nov. 4th. through TTS. We are current owners at SSR. I'd love to hear something soon, too.
