I just had my offer for Animal Kingdom accepted by the sealer. Now I just have to wait for Disney ROFR. 30 days seem so long. I don’t know hot I can wait. I hear that Disney is taking more options to buy DVC back as of late. Has anyone heard this as well?

We are in the same boat with an AKV offer pending ROFR, and the waiting is definitely no fun. If you have not seen them already, there is a thread with ROFR data on this forum at ...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1960185&page=98

... and more ROFR data on one of the reseller's sites at ...

(You must click on the link DVC Resales ROFR Info on the page above.)

I have not heard whether or not Disney is repurchasing more contracts than in the past, but would be interested to know if anyone else has access to this information.

I have not heard anything official, but it seems, from the posts on this thread, that contracts that were low end are not getting through.

Personally, I think it is because there have been a lot of offers to sellers that are really low and those are the ones getting bought back.

For example, I just read that someone was bought back at AKV for $80.00 per point.

Depending on where you are in terms of offer compared to the contracts that were ROFR'd, will depend on your chances. But, then again, with Disney, no one knows for sure as I have seen contracts pass that seemed a better deal than the ones that Disney took.

Good luck!!!

We have been waiting three weeks to find out if our offer will pass
Disney's ROFR. We are first time buyers into OKW. Good Luck everybody !!
May lots of Pixie Dust come our way.

I'm in the same boat - waiting for mine to come through as well...

Same boat here as well. First time buyer of AKV. Seller agreed 8/4. Still waiting to hear. So hard to wait!

I read the ROFR thread and I can't figure out why Disney passed on some and optioned others. I can't really see a pattern. It is so frustrating to determine what may or may not pass.

Our contract went to Disney for ROFR on August 11. Hoping we hear something this week. And hoping they don't buy it or it's back to the drawing board.....:rolleyes1 Waiting stinks!!!

:cool1: We just got the call tonight that Disney passed our SSR resale contract!!
Our contract was sent to Disney August 4 (I believe) and we found out today, so it is taking almost the month - Be patient, although I know it IS HARD!!!
(Our contract was for 150 points, $70/point so I think it was reasonable on both sides)

Looks like we need a cruise ship!!!:cool1: This boat's getting full.

Disney will also excercise ROFR if the need the points for a waitlist. Say, they have a customer wanting points for March UY at BCV. A resale pops up....has the right UY and resort...Disney buys it. So, I've been told.

It is crazy though...first time there was an issue with the contract and it took almost 30 days to pass ROFR. The second time it took six days and two were over a weekend. We went to ROFR 10 days ago...only time will tell.

I can't believe BCV and SSR are going so cheap.:scared1: Wow!!!

Good luck and lots of pixiedust:pixiedust: for everyone!!!

Have you called your agent? Sometimes, it takes a couple of days before an e-mail is generated. I don't think they'd mind if you made an inquiry.

Oh, I don't want to be a pest. Another week and I will be!

Hey TLSnell1981,
Followed your advice and just called TSS and found that Disney exercised it's ROFR :confused3:confused: on our 150 pt Boardwalk contract.........
Scot just got it in from Disney. I called before he could e-mail me.

But I just got an e-mail from TSS with new listings and I found one even better than the one that got away:rotfl2:

Starting all over again with this one:

150 BWV(Jun) $78 pt, 95 pts from 2009, all 2010 points, buyer pays closing, no MFs until 2010
I offered the seller $79 a point because I really need this contract to pass. And besides, June was my first pick UY.
Wish me luck!! Third time's a charm, right!??

Wow. That last contract was low...not surprised it was ROFRd. But, (LOL)maybe....offering more than asked may get it through.
