New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Which credit agency do you need to lift your freeze from before applying? TransUnion, Equifax, or Experian?

Experian.

Yes, Experian.
I unfroze my Experian account right before I applied, leaving the others frozen.
I got an instant approval from Chase and an instant message from Experian for the hard pull.
I froze my Experian right after and everyone is happy, lol.
.

I've got a question that none of us may have the answer for yet:

We have just received our Disney Visa Inspire cards in the mail and we currently have a WDW vacation package booked. If we split it and paid for our tickets separate from our room, could we only charge $200 of the ticket cost and still get the $100 Reward Dollars?

We always have discounted gift cards and we would save more money on the rest of the tickets by using gift cards to pay the balance.

If any of this makes sense LOL

I believe you would have to cancel and rebook it. Is the package close to $2K? With Tickets I'm guessing it is so you could pay $2k towards your package and that would do a few things.

1. Trigger the $300 welcome bonus after spending $1,000
2. Trigger the $200 after spending $2,000 on Vacation Packages/Cruises/Folio
3. Have 6 months of 0% APR when paying the minimum which should be $1,500 after credits
4. Generate $60 in Disney Dollars that you can use Pay Yourself Back to apply to the $1,500 balance.

If the total is over $2,000 then you can pay the rest with your discounted gift cards and the $300 gift card that you received from opening the card.

We're actually not going until 2027. I've booked a bounceback offer that I'm planning on moving around when the 2027 BB dates come out. We were kind of planning on purchasing Disney gift cards from the DisneyStore.com to help us get our $300 welcome bonus on purchases made between now and May, and with the discounted gift cards we already have, our package won't be over $2000.

I appreciate all the info you've provided...I'll start thinking about doing some of the things you suggested. Right now, it's too many numbers to think about LOL

Did you apply online or call? Did it "upgrade" your original card? I have had the original for a long time but debating this one for the welcome offer and upgraded cash back.
I applied online for a new Insire card. It is not associated with my original Visa Chase card (Disney). I have a lot of security on my social, so Chase called me and I was approved and the GC sent immediately to my email.

If you want the perks and sign-on bonus, I would do it now. The sign-on perks can and will change at some point. I remember when my original card went from a $300 GC to a $200 GC then a $100 GC with a statement credit after spending $500. When I got my first card, it was just a $300 GC with no minimum spending.

I had the free visa and canceled it right a few weeks before this came out because DH got the Premier Disney. DH just applied for Inspire. He got that one too! Huge credit limit that we won't use btw. :) I'm using the combined credits to pay for all of our lightning lanes, our 3 quick service family meals & the annual fee. Disney bucks go fast. Magic today, Gone tomorrow.

I'm a DVC member. I called to renew our Sorcerer Passes on Friday, 2/6. I used the card to pay off the balance, a little over $200, after using gift cards to pay the majority. The charge went through on my card and it posted to my account, but the $100 statement credit isn't showing. I'll keep an eye on it, and call if it doesn't come through in the next day or so.
“Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after Qualifying Purchases post to your account for the statement credit to post to your account”

$200 after spending $2,000 on vacation packages/cruises/folio only applies after first anniversary with the card, right?

No it is right away.

Both the $200 and the $100 credit are per anniversary year and are available immediately.

The fine print does state that if the transaction posts in the next anniversary it would be that credit though.

Example You open the card today, 2/9/26 that makes your anniversary period 2/9 - 2/8 the next year on a continuing basis unless you close the card.

If you make the $2000 total charges by 12/1/26 they all should post and you should receive the credit in this anniversary.
If you book a cruise on 2/8/27 while still in this anniversary it might not post until 2/10/27 and while you would receive the credit it would be for the 2/9/27-2/8/28 period instead of the 2/9/26-2/8/27 period.

Hope that makes sense.

I applied for and was approved for the new Disney Inspire card late last Tuesday night, 2/3. I received my new card today in the mail :woohoo: I already called to have my Premier card switched back to the free version :D The $49 annual fee just posted on 2/1 so I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that they will be refunding that fee :cool1:Screenshot_20260209_171912_Samsung Internet.jpg

I lifted Experian since Google AI said Chase uses it 70% of the time. Nope! They ran mine through TransUnion so I had to call anyway.

Remember you can just buy 1 ticket for DS, DH or yourself from Disney and as long as it is over $200 then it would trigger the $100 credit for tickets and then buy the other two from your discounted sites.

Edit: Meant to have DS instead had you twice :)

So if you spend at least $200 on park tickets, you get $100 back?
And if you spend $2000 on hotel you get $200 back?

I'm having trouble figure this all out.

Yes per anniversary year you can receive a $200 credit if you spend $2k on vacation packages (it can be a room only package[$200 deposit] but just booking a room [1 night deposit] won’t count) cruise bookings or anything on charged to your room when staying on property aka Folio charges.

You can also receive a $100 statement credit each year if you spend $200 or more in tickets.

The charges to qualify for those credits would earn 3% back in Disney Rewards as well.

There is also a credit for Disney+ but that has to be activated in the Chase app or on the website.
