Waiting to Book (Thurs) or Already Booked?

Just to set the Non-Disney-Visa holders minds at ease....

Lets start a poll of who has booked, and who has to wait... give us some 'numbers' if you will??

Im waiting. I applied for a DisVisa.... totally DEnied!

I DISTINCTLY remember feeling like this LAST year, and I was SOOOOO slammed at work (and had started only a few months prior) I didnt and couldnt call in the AM... I called that NIGHT with no problems. I keep trying to tell myself, calm the heck down!!! Its fine... BUT! Im still a nervous nelly!!!

Didn't think I would be able to book right away if I applied for Disney Visa, so I have not done that. As flexible as I am, no sense messing with my credit score. I am a Thursday person I guess then!

I could imagine the phone call to DH- his response... You want to apply for what to do what??? Wait three days.

I booked through my TA earlier in the year for Sept 15-22 without even knowing about free DDP. I've requested that she call and change my ressie to the free DDP on Thursday (because I'm not a Dis Visa person ).

Soooooo, here's another Thursday person...hoping for Pop Century!!!

I have to wait till thursday. So sad I am worried that no rooms will be avaliable. I have to do value cause I have six kids and too much $$$ for any others this time. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for pixie dust.

Thing is - I have my room... I have my room from 9.12 - 9.17 paying for dining. It's just the thought of paying for it NOW when people are getting it free, sickens me.!!!!

Oh I am with you there! I don't know if I'll be able to handle that one! Especially because I am in Canada and don't even have the opportunity to apply for a Disney Visa!!!

Think I will call Toronto Dominion Bank and suggest they start a Disney Visa in Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had already booked 9/16-9/23 early last month- just waiting for thursday to come along to get the free dining promo. I had booked my ressie with the dining plan and was going to pay for it anyways so now I get a special perk- woohoo 800 dollars off of my bill!!

Last year I didn't find out about free dining until June and managed to get in. They say there are fewer rooms this year, but betcha they add more when they don't fill up with other travellers. They hate empty rooms.

I booked through a TA. I emailed her this morning to confirm she has me and my cousin on the list to call. My concern is this. You noticed most ppl have the standard room. DH said that if we cant get POP with a preferred room he wants to keep our original reservation and pay for dining. I am keeping everything crossed that our reservations will stand for POP with preferred view and get the free dining.

I have to wait until Thursday. The phone lines weren't bad this afternoon, just a minute or two wait when I've called to do other things.

I'm very flexible, though I'd prefer to start later in September.

After holding for 45 minutes this morning, DH accidentially hung up, so we went to work. I called at 4:00 when I got off and POP was already totally booked for the last week. The only thing left was ASMusic or Sports and so we booked the last preferred room at the Music according to the CM. I really don't like either of those and really wanted POP, so I guess we will see if anyone cancels and try to modify.

Just went to the Disney website, and there was availability for everything, (not talking free dining) so they have rooms to fill and I would not be surprised if they release rooms in small increments to get the bookings from people who don't know better while they offer this promotion. If they don't have the numbers they want, they will release more and more rooms.
