10/24 for FD Bounceback? Where in the heck is this date coming from? Offers for FD Bounceback were only offered DURING Free Dining last year, not weeks after FD ended.

FD bounceback being offered at the end of October...while that would be wonderful, I doubt if it will happen.

Free dining promotion was offered a few years ago for folks arriving in November and December and it was for the following August and September. So this is not unusual. Just because the promotion is offered in October, by no way means the free dining will be in October. I think Mbanks21 is a very reliable source and I pay close attention when he/she posts....I suspect this poster is someone who has access to good reliable information.

Just because youre not there for the fd doesnt mean you cant book the bounceback. As n2mm stated the bounceback dates arent always the same as the general public FD dates. And I get my info from the batcomputer. I am Batman

Free dining this year was offered on 4/8 for disney visa members and 4/10 for everyone else for dates 8/24-9/20.

In 2005, free dining was offered to guests checking in about Aug 5 through October 2 or 3. I know this because we checked in on October 1st and had free dining.

In 2006, the dates were shortened a bit. I'm not sure of the beginning dates, but the last day to check in for free dining packages was September 30. We checked in on September 29.

In 2007, I know the first week was eliminated and may have started Aug 12 or so for us citizens booking the Free dining package, and the last day to check-in was September 22. We checked in on September 21st. See a pattern here?

These were the approximate check-in dates for regular free dining not associated with any 'bounceback' promotions here or abroad.

This may be a silly question but we will be in Disney on Oct 24 (our last full day). Can people on site get this that day or do you actually have to have your check-in date that day?

Our next trip is August 6th through the 15th. I hope they offer free dining during that time period but I won't be holding my breath.

To book any bounceback offer, including the FD offer, a guest MUST be staying onsite at a Disney resort. They will look up that info first before allowing you to book the future stay. Several people reported booking just one night on property last year so they could book a future FD stay. Since FD has always been offered to the GP in April, then unless you already plan to stay onsite during the BB offer timeframe then there's really no need to worry about not being able to book FD eventually for 09.---Kathy

Is the free dining that comes out in April the same as the BB offers that come out in Sept -Oct that are about to come out. What is the differance. I know its probablty a spupid question but it seems as if its the same offer just for the next year. thanks for your help

It is the same offer as far as cost, however, the bounceback had a later first day of stay. The last first day of stay for the Apr offer is Sept 20 and the last first day of stay for the Bounceback is Sept 27 or 29. I know for sure the 27 is fine since my daughter booked it. THere may be more rooms also for the first offer, not sure though.

I read this entired thread and I am so confused... We are leaving next week for ASMo for my DD2 first trip, we will be there until September 3rd. I know that we will be going back again next year because my sister wants to take her twins next year. So if we are offered a BB rate while we are there we will probably take it! Do we just have to call to have the free dining added if/when it's offered? TIA!

No--if you book the bounceback while you're there, you have free dining and don't need to wait until it's offered to the general public next spring. If you can, figure out your dates (or at least approximate dates) so you can book while you're there.
