Hi! It’s now been 32 calendar days since the broker said our contract to purchase a DVC resale was forwarded to Disney for ROFR. The time limit for ROFR isn’t 30 business days, is it? We contacted the broker a few days ago to see if they had any updates. They said they’d e-mail us back, but we still haven't heard anything.

I’d appreciate any opinions/experience/information about whether Disney would ROFR a contract after 30 days. Sorry if this sounds too impatient. We are very excited about the prospects of becoming DVC members!

If you are dealing with The Timeshare Store, Inc.® please contact us immediately. Unless there was an addendum to your contract Disney should have notified on ROFR within the 30 day period.

You can call us at 1-800-550-6493.

Thanks,
Jason at The Timeshare Store, Inc.®

My resale broker said that the 30 days isn't written in stone. I was also getting impatient around day 26 -27, but our contract passed ROFR right after talking to my broker. We never broke the 30 day mark. Your broker can call and check on the status with Disney for you. They checked on one of mine for me, we had 2 contracts submitted to Disney the same day, and one passed ROFR a week before the other one did. They called Disney to check and make sure the 2nd contract hadn't been misplaced some where.

We too are waiting to pass ROFR. It is getting difficult. Hope to hear soon. I found this on another thread which is encouraging in one sense but not in the other. I guess all of us waiting on ROFR need to be patient. Good luck!

(sorry I don't know how to quote from different threads)

You can't really count days because you don't know for sure when your Broker submitted your paper work to Disney. I once was told that Disney was still working on ours and come to find out, it was never submitted.

Mistakes can happen and you have a 45 to 60 day process ahead of you. Try to relax if you can. You will be a owner before you know it.

I got word last night that I passed ROFR....yesterday was 23 days after it was submitted....saw a few others who also said 23 days for them...it was hard enough waiting that long...can't imagine 30+ days....hang in there!
