Ok I was reading in one of the official Unoffical guide books that it is a good idea to play games with kids while waiting in line. Does anybody do this???

I've read that some people bring the cards from a disney trivia game and quiz each other while standing in line. If there's a kids version of the game this could be a good distraction.

We do some song guessing games and than I have a few things in y backpack for kids only. I keep checking th e dollar store for that stuff (usually by the party favors) we got a 6 pack of rubix cubes as well as those puzzles with one piece missing that you move around and a few assorted no name brain teaser toys. It's light weight and than doesn't always need my full attention.

I've seen parents and kids playing "I spy" in line. I thought that was a good idea. No equipment required and you don't have to move around with that game.

One of my comoderators, cleo, always carries little bottles of bubbles (like those given out at weddings) and when there is a fussy child in line she will blow some bubbles and it sidetracks the fussiness. I've been with her when she does this and I must admit it really changes the child's attitude. She then gives the little bottle of bubbles to the child, if the parent agrees.

Our cleo is very creative.
