Well, one of the kittens was just throwing up. Then I found 2 of my daughter's 500mg Cephlaxin pills on the floor all chewed up with some of the powder around them. I guess she didn't get the lid on all the way.

I have given the information to the receptionist. Of course now it seems like forevery while I am waiting for them to call back.

Anyone want to reassure me that she is fine? I know they give this antibiotic to cats but I have no idea how much she ingested and and how much is too much.

The good news is Cephalexin isn't a STRONG antibiotic (my kids have to take it due to penicillin allergy).... and the fact you found remnants means the kitten didn't like the taste....
Hope it all turns out ok!!!!

Phew. Vet called back and said she should be okay. We may experience more vomiting and some other tummy issues but she should be fine.

I swear that kittens are as bad as toddlers!!

Speaking of which, raysnkaysmom, shouldn't you be havng a baby????;)
