Waiting for hospital phone call ...

It's 3:25 PM and I've been waiting all day for a phone call. I'm having surgery tomorrow and the hospital is supposed to call and let me know what time surgery is scheduled for and what time to be there.. I'm nervous enough already without worrying about a phone call. Why do they have to do this to people?

Ughh, that is frustrating.

Do you have a number you can call? I did that last year, afraid to go out and pick up my DD at school, so she gave me the info.

I would always get the call around 6 o clock. I also ask what number patient am I of the surgeons for the day and how long did he book the or for. One time he didnt operate on me till 8pm. I was starving!!

Thanks everyone. After three phone calls to them (they're running behind), I now know that I have to be at the hospital by 9:15 and surgery is at 11:30.

I'm having a torn rotator cuff of the hip repaired -- rumor has it that they'll have me riding an exercise bike shortly after surgery. This doesn't sound like fun! They delivered my passive motion machine this afternoon -- I'll be strapped into it for six hours a day. Crutches for four weeks -- I think I'm going to be going crazy!
