Waiting for August Hours - All hours are up!!

OMG!!! This is just deja vu from last year, I can't take it!!!!

When they weren't posted by May 1st, we started hearing rumors that it was going to be the middle of the month & lo and behold that is exactly when they posted them.

we received no reason for the delay, no explanation & we were all going crazy trying to switch our adr's around.

This is just unfreakinbelievable!!!

She doesn't know what she is talking about.

It would appear that no one at Disney knows what they are talking about as it relates to the August hours.

If Disney is going to enforce this 90 day window for booking ADRs, then get the hours posted on the first of the month so as to not inconvenience those folks who have trips planned at the beginnning of the month.

Disney execs must feel that they are doing everyone a favor allowing us the opportunity to visit Orlando so we can spend our money in their park.

Okay, for those who have booked Fantasmic package, would you please let us know what days you were able to book so we can start to put some pieces together? Thanks! Maybe we can outsmart Disney:)?

I am going to work with the June and July hours and hope that it will all work out. I get to make my ADR's on Saturday. :cool1: Does Wishes play every night, beacuse the July calandar did not show it. They showed it in May, but not July.:confused3

Hey everyone. This delay in posting the hours is poor customer service on the part of the Disney corporation. The emphasis on dining on site and the many shows and events that Disney provides require that reservations be made. My DH and I will be spending $1,500 on meals ($72 per person, per day +tips for the DxDP). We will be spending about $4,000 for the one week on the Disney property and I want to arrange our days so that the weather and opening times will serve our needs.

Please make your frustation and disappointment in Dinsey known to the person taking reservations (or better yet, their supervisor). I've written a brief email and filled out a survey. When the survey lady with the digital clipboard comes by to talk to you in the park, let them know that you had a difficult time planning because of this. Yes, the hours will get posted and we will get our reservations. I would RATHER it happen earlier and we can hopefully encourage Disney to change this policy for the benefit of future planners.

Good luck with your planning, everyone...and have a magical day!

I went ahead and made my ADR's this morning without the hours. Oh well, there is nothing that we have to see. On a positive note I did get all the ADR's I wanted!!:dance3:

I had the same dilemma as this last month when I waiting on July hours.. I also took a chance and booked without the hours ,as the ADRS were filling up during the "waiting" period..Waiting too long could cost you a favorite ADR...Good Luck..

This is helpful to know if you're registering any kind of complaint with WDW.

If US can post its hours through December, why can't WDW post its hous through August?

Sunday August 2nd 9pm show is what I booked my Fantasmic package for.

What's just as bad as the lack of hrs is that there is no clearcut timeframe listed for the hrs to come out. I've read reports of people being told any day now, middle of the month, and next month. At this point, I wish we at least had a more definitive answer.

Also lots of us have sent emails- has anyone even received a reply?

Very bad show all around.

I wouldn't do that. I would just email. It's not their fault. The phone CMs can't do anything, and they're probably not going to pass it on to anyone, because do they even know who to pass it on to? Who even makes the hours?

It would be like the game Telephone, which is what it seems to have been in them telling us when the hours are available.

All you'd be doing is taking your frustration out on them, and they probably get that enough. And then some of your ADRs might not be available if you're complaining, because you took too long being upset instead of telling them times.

No Way!! this happened last year too??:confused3

How are we ever supose to plan our trip.... I sent in an email with no reply as of yet. I will never figure out our trip if they do this for the September hours as well.... I sure hope for all of you having to make your adrs now the hours are posted for you today :worship:

Our dates are August 29th - Sept 8th...

I wonder if they are waiting to see the response they get from the free dining promotion. They are still pushing it BIG time in television advertising, so I am assuming they have not received the response they were hoping.

There is a big difference between registering a complaint and "taking it out" on someone. I only suggest letting the employees know that this has been a difficult process due to the late release of hours. You can say it with a smile. Disney doesn't seem to care if they did this last year as others have stated, so maybe it doesn't matter if we complain.

On the other hand, faxing them my reservation to Universal, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld, etc. and showing them my receipts for restaurants outside of Disney World would have shareholders noticing.

Hey guys, don't forget. Most of the CM's you talk to are just in a room taking/fielding phone calls. They aren't where the hours are being worked on or loaded. Trust me, they DON'T know what they are talking about and are not giving any information that is factual. They are just saying what they think could happen or trying to make an educated guess.

Also, last year's calendar hours were realeased on a different schedule than this year, so you can't go by when last year's hours were released.

Here is when the last 3 months were released:

July - April 1 @ 5:30pm
June - February 27
May - February 1

Ours just happened on a Friday, and they aren't guaranteed to come out on day 1. I still am holding out hope we will see them today, even if it's at 5:30pm today. Hang in there. I agree that they should have their act together, but it doesn't change what is.

If you keep asking the CM's at the reservation/information area - you will most likely keep getting wrong info. They don't know. They are just guessing. Now if they said they just got an info or were just briefed, maybe. But to say the 15th or the end of the month- They don't know and are just guessing. Most of the CM's on the phone don't really know a whole lot besides what is in their computer. Not all of them go to Disney like we do. Take what they say with a grain of salt.

Like I said - Keep the faith :)

I got a 4:30 dinner at Mamma Melrose - Fantasmic package for Sunday Aug. 2.

I think its strange that they havent put them up yet, especially since they have to know the hours, at least for August 1 and 2 since they are doing dining reservations. Also I think it looks bad on the website that they have an August calandar with nothing on it. At least dont even post the calendar on the website if there are no hours.

Did anyone call to ask what the deal is? hope i dont have this issues next month!!

Some have, but.......central reservations CM's don't know what the deal is and aren't working where the work on the calendars to be loaded are being done. It's really a waste to ask them, more than likely they won't know any more than we do and will just be guessing at an answer.

Several people have called, and it seems like the CMs give a different answer each time.

A couple of times, we've heard within the next couple of days. There have been a few that have said they will be released in a couple of weeks. But mostly, the CMs don't really know.
