Is there a cost to do laundry at Saratoga Springs?

For the past several years, we've traveled with several family members and stayed in larger units with W/D in the villas. We have an upcoming trip to SSR staying in a studio and we're wondering about the laundry rooms. Is there a cost to use the Washers & Dryers? Or are they still free?

They are free. It’s been awhile since I used them, but there used to be washers that looked like they accepted coins, but still, they were free. You just pushed the coin slots in!

All WDW DVC Resorts have free laundry facilities for those staying in studios.

If you fly, do NOT carry rolls of coins. Quite the kerfuffle at Security... take it from me LOL

Did you get singled out for some "enhanced" screening?

If there is no laundry detergent in your studio, if you contact housekeeping or the front desk they'll bring you some.

a roll of coins looks like a weapon component. It causes all your belongings to be emptied and spread out and extra agents to be called, and you get a thorough pat down. it was... un pleasant.

I feel your pain on this one. I've been stopped more than once for this. I finally started dumping them into a ziploc bag.
