Waiting for August Hours - All hours are up!!

Hmmmmmm Now that is about 5-6 people that have said they were told that AUGUST hours would be out Mid Month:sad2::scratchin

I REALLY REALLY HOPE that is NOT accurate!

What I should be doing is:laundy: instead I am :surfweb: and this is becoming
 but atleast I am not popcorn:: (eating)! :rotfl2:
Okay, that was MY try at humor......
Hang in there everyone, AT LEAST we are lucky enough to be
GOING TO DISNEY :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I have no problem if the hours don't come out until mid month. However, if I call the day the hours are released to make an ADR and am shut out of any place, then God help the CM I'm on the phone with. And I feel bad about that because it won't be their fault.

I've been playing stupid and calling every-other morning to see if I can get a ressi for Aug. 12th at CRT! :rolleyes1

I will continue doing this until the hours come up...or at least for the next 6 days. :lmao:

There seems to be a lot of us here that suffered through this with November hours as well.

My suggestion to Disney would be to change the park hour release and ADR schedule to avoid this kind of frustration for obsessed planners like us. Maybe if they went back to park hours being release at 180 days but kept ADRs at 90, they wouldn't get sooooo many complaint phone calls about what an inconvenience this is for people.

I hate that so many of you guys had to blindly make your reservations without knowing for sure what time certain events were happening. When this happened to us last year with the November hours, it really messed up our schedule big time. It was difficult to go off the hours for the end of Oct, because we were there when daylight savings time ended and I was pretty sure that would affect the fireworks schedule - but not 100% sure.

The only fireworks show we got to see what Illuminations - no Spectromagic or Wishes for us. (I know Spectromagic isn't fireworks, but I would think you need to do that one at night because of all the lights on the floats.) We got to listen to Wishes while we ate at Tony's, but I would have loved to see it.

I had blindly made all of our ADRs at about 170 days before our trip, and ended up just taking what we could get. By the time the park hours were released, I couldn't change anything to what I should have booked - there was nothing left!!

So, I really hope all of you guys do okay with your ressies!! And I really, really hope the hours are posted before 8/25 when I call in for ours!

You should really call the VERY FIRST chance you can to get your reservations even if the hours are not out because POPULAR places go very fast................It isn't the cm's fault, but if you ARE waiting I would consider having BACK UPS!
Best of Luck....
I am SERIOUSLY considering taking days OFF my 10 night stay and heading to Vero first and THEN Disney just to avoid this "dining/hours debacle" figuring that the later in Aug, I am on the property, the easier it will be for me to "see Hours posted to make an informed decision

Just got off the phone with Gab from Disney and he said in the next couple of days .....UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH he also said they do not know what the delay is and he understands the frustration but thats all the information he has right now......... I want my park hours ..... making me MAD:mad:

And Gab is shooting from the hip - I'm pretty confident he has no real clue and isn't told the answer. He is just guessing.

It's 2:30 pm on May 4th, and there's still nothing posted.

Now I'm just angry.

And wondering if I should re-think that meal plan that's costing us almost $1,000.

If Disney can't be bothered making it possible to arrange ADRs and park times together, the ADRs may be the first to go.

And with Free Dining starting in August, they are in for a world of complaints very soon.

I just sent an e-mail to guest communications. It started out nice and sweet, but the more I typed, the more angry I got. Hopefully, someone who reads it still cares about their guests.

I am so sorry for those of you who have already been affected by this extremely poor customer service.

I still have few weeks until my ADR window opens, but I need to make ADR's for a party of 11:eek:. That is going to be scary. I can't imagine how angry I am going to be if hours aren't out before May 18th. We are bringing my mom, dad, my aunt, my brother, his wife and two kids; as well as my family of four. My brothers kids have never been to Disney World, so of course I want them to see Wishes, Spector and Fantasmic. How can I plan park days without knowing when they will be shown? How in the world would I be able to get ADR's for 11 beyond the 90 day mark at a decent time for kids to eat? I have already planned to double book ADR's - sorry, but it is what I will do if it comes to that!

I am keeping faith that Disney will get their act together soon, but the squeeky wheel usually gets the grease. So lets let them know how frustrated we are.

I'm thinking the same thing. I was excited to try some of the nicer restaurants and get the DxDP for my trip. With tips, my dining plan would have been about $1,500 for two of us.

I may downshift to the the standard dining plan or just go out of pocket and keep more of my money by bringing in food and/or eating some dinners away from Disney.

I'm definitely going to take a day for Islands of Adventure at this point because I can actually plan that day as Universal put their schedule out long ago. Maybe Sea World too? Heck, I can stay off property and make a vacation that keeps more of my money out of Disney's hands.

The two big meals for our wedding (rehearsal dinner and wedding breakfast) are set days fo us, so we will book those no matter what, but we want to book Princess breakfast for 8 in our first week, and really need to know which day we're going to do that. The rest of the family are staying off site so we want to avoid morning EMH.

The other thing is that DF and I have several signature dining options in our honeymoon registry and we really want to know when we can book these for.

Well - the entire site appears to be down right now so maybe that is good news? Hopefully when it is back up the August hours will be too!:wizard:

and you think they're going to have the August hours posted in three weeks?

I am hoping they are.

Actually, if for some reason they are not, it should not be too big an issue for us.

We have park hoppers
We do rope drops and afternoon naps/swim
Then evenings we go where we want.

Most of our ADRs will be dinners, and a couple breakfasts.

still nothing...

I called about 2 hours ago and the guy just lamely said "Maybe it'll be up soon." As soon, do you mean an hour or a week? He had no clue. No magic there!

There are 3 things in life you can count on: 1) Death 2) Taxes 3) Disney's website being down
