You know more than the CM I talked to on the phone today! I called to ask how to access the hours for Fantasmic and WIshes/Spectro and I was told that they wouldn't be online until June. Thanks Melanie!

Some are knowledable, but I agree most are not!

So, now that I know what to expect, here is our initial plan:

Aug 9: arrive around 1 pm, settle in and go to MK?
Aug 10: DHS for emh morning, Hoop De Doo for 5:15 dinner
Aug 11: MK for emh morning, Crystal Palace for latest breakfast sitting, stay for Spectro/Wishes
Aug 12: AK or Sleep in and wing it! 1900 Park Fare for dinner 6:30
Aug 13: Sleep in, DHS around noon, Mama Melrose Fantasmic package
Aug 14: EPCOT, LeCellier 6:30 dinner
Aug 15: AK emh, Ohana dinner, 6:30
Aug 16: Last request day...time to go home:( We drove, so we'll leave late afternoon and cry until GA?

When I first saw the hours posted, I saw SpectroMagic listed on Tuesday Aug 25, and Sat, Aug 29, though that information is gone now. I also saw Fantasmic listed on Tues, Aug 25, but that also is gone now.

Tentatively (meaning this is likely to change when they actually get the Fantasmic, and Spectro schedules posted) it looks like we'll be doing the following:

8/24 AK
8/25 DHS (Fantasmic)
8/26 MK
8/27 Epcot
8/28 DTD (La Nouba)
8/29 MK (Spectro)
8/30 MK (PM EMH, love the park after dark)
8/31 Epcot

the rest are just gueses, since we don't have Sept hours yet, but I'll have to get my ADR's before the hours are posted, so I may wind up going with this even if I don't like the way it fits the park hours.

9/1 Epcot
9/2 MK
9/3 Epcot
9/4 hang out at the resort in the morning, then MK for MNSSHP

Looking for some advice from the pro's.......

Since Fantasmic is only showing 3 x's while I am there, do you think it is wise to book the dinner package?

On my last trip it was still showing every night so I didn't book one & I was fine, however I am nervous since this time there are fewer shows.

What is everyone else doing?

Thanks

There still seems to be no Animal Kingdom hours up for August. Anyone have any info on this?

I think that the general concensus is that the seats that are reserved for the dinner package aren't that great anyway, and as long as you get in line a bit before the show, you should have no problem getting in. The bottom line is if the shows are so packed that people aren't able to get in, Disney isn't stupid, they'll add more shows.

I personally am not going to do the dinner package, we'll just get in line a little before the show, and hope for the best.

throw me in the boat with those anxious for Wishes to be added to the schedule too!
On EMH nights at MK-do they usually run Spectro and Wishes? Last year I remember them doing two Spectros on the Sunday EMH....but last year they weren't cutting back like they are this year....
Stinks cause I was so hoping that our first night there, Tues. Aug 25th we could go to the MK for the afternoon, eat at Chef Mickeys (if I can get the ressie), and then come back for the parade and fireworks...I think it would be a great start to my nephews first trip-(he's 10, so if anyone has any other pointers on things he might really dig, I'd appreciate it.)
We are going to get hoppers, and I want to do Chef Mickeys first night regardless...I dunno. I'd hate to take an evening away from another park to come back to do Spectro and Wishes sometime else in the week...I guess I think my nephew should experience each park for a day in its entirity before we go hopping around, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case.
Our dates are Tues. 8/25- Sun 8/31 (leaving this day, so no parks)- 5 full park days and one half day, the first day we get there...
sigh...got almost a month to work on it...thanks for everyones help and company as we plan!

Hmm, I'm hoping that Spectro, Wishes and Fantasmic are posted very soon. It makes a big difference and I am trying to finalize our dinner plans. :worship:

I was hoping for Spectro to be the finale for my niece's birthday on Aug 25, but it's also not in the cards. Oh, well- at least I know now.

It's so hard for me to plan this trip because it's my first time traveling with kids (my nieces) and I'm really not sure yet what touring pace will work for them. Also, they've never been to WDW so I feel more pressure to make sure I get things in; usually, I don't stress as much because I've been to WDW so many times and know I can come back.

(on that note, I just got a $99 credit on my SW airfare... so I figure I can take another trip to WDW this yr if the girls prevent me from getting my full fix this time :rotfl:)

Does your family not enjoy Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom? I see you are spending just one day at those parks. I need at least 2 days at HS to see everything.
