Waiters/Waitresses you avoid? (inspired by avoided cashiers)

When we lived in Miami, we used to go to this one Flannigan's restaurant that was by the airport all the time. Well, we got this one waiter a few times and always got really bad service from him. He would never write down anything, take forever with drinks (when he would take a drink order at all), and say rude things to people. Well, after the 2nd or 3rd time, I remembered to get his name. So from then on, when we would go there, they would ask if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking section (this was before the ban). I would simply reply, "I'd like the non-Chris section please."

Anyone else deal with this kind of stuff?

I avoid this one check out lady at the grocery store, she looks at me like a dog looking at a bone, and she is so slow, alwasy complaing of her back

My aunt and mom used to go to lunch together a lot. One of their favorite places was Red Lobster, but there was a waitress there named Linda that my aunt did NOT like. She was always nasty to my aunt and she could never figure out why. So the service from her was terrible. So they would always make sure they were not seated in her section. One day they'd planned to go to Red Lobster for lunch, but couldn't remember if that was Linda's day or not, and they knew that one day a week Linda was the only one on duty until noon (they were always there at 11). So they went to the Golden Corral instead. They paid and were seated (it's a buffet) and guess who came waltzing up as their waitress....Linda! :lmao:

Turns out she had 2 jobs and they'd never see her at that one before.

There is one at our favorite coffee shop. She would smile, laugh and joke with my Dh but wouldn't speak to me except to take our order. Would never refill my coffee but DH always had plenty.

One day I ran into a coworker of mine and was talking to her when this waitress came up and asked "who the heck are you talking to" and my coworker told the waitress (who turned out to be her daughter) "this is my supervisor".

Since then the gal has been so friendly knowing I was her mom's supervisor. I always ask to be seated anywhere but her section.

Um, wrong thread, but long post! :rotfl2:

:cool1: I inspired a thread! :cool1: :teeth:

I don't go out to eat often enough at sit-down restaurants to have wait people who I avoid.

There is one waitress that worked at once place then was gone. She then turned up at another place. Problem w/ her is she would go soo sloooow. We knew when we were in her section because we'd always seemed to get welcomed w/ in 2 mins in other sections, but wouldnt' see her for 5-10 and she'd just take our drink order. Arg... Well we found out she has been promoted to shift manager. My comeback to that was perhaps she's better managing people than serving them *eyeroll*
