Waited too long to make ADR for Afternoon Tea

Darn it. I called today for an ADR in late September, and the CM said first that all they had was 1:40 p.m. I told her that this didn't sound right, as I didn't think the Afternoon Tea started until later. She checked, and yep, she was putting in the Cafe. After 5 minutes of hunting and pecking and trying to figure out things, she said that the afternoon tea is booked up for the day I want. She kind of seemed like she didn't know what she was doing, so perhaps I'll call back another day. I was just on the phone for almost 10 minutes just waiting to get a live person, so I'm not in the mood to go thru that again.

I sure wish they would let us book the afternoon tea online!

You can do the tea online.... I just did it! It was hard to find an available time, but I got it.
Put in Garden View Tea Room into the search on www.disneyworld.com
From there 9 things will pop up, the first one saying "Walk Disney World Resort" That is it.
You can make your reservation from there.

You can. I did for Mother's Day.

The pull down with meal times has a choice called "Snacks" . Choose that meal, and GF as your location. The tea should come up.

You can book the tea online, it's the Garden View Lounge.

1) The first try could have been Grand Floridian Café.
2) Not the Tea.
3) But, as mentioned go online and try it.
4) Also, keep trying.
5) There are frequent cancellations.

This is good to know. The last time I thought about doing the tea you had to call for a reservation. Nice that it can now be done online.

There are alot of people on the phones who don't know correct information, give wrong answers, and apparently don't know how to find the correct ones.
The online system allows for booking of afternoon tea, but not perfectly princess tea. Always try online first. You get more wrong answers on the phone than correct ones it seems. I've have spent too much money on long distance get wrong answers from cast members.

Thanks, everyone! I was able to do it online. It wouldn't let me make the reservation for 3 people, so I tried 4. That didn't work. So, I tried 2 and it worked like a charm. I really need it for 3 people (me, my cousin, and his wife), but I'll just try to talk my cousin out of coming. I really don't think he'd enjoy it anyway, and he is super picky about food.

I made mine for 4 even though there are 8 of us during that time...but I figure the guys in the group would rather do something more manly LOL. Don't get me wrong, hubby would like the tea (he insisted we schedule a proper tea and garden tour at Jewell Gardens while we honeymooned in Alaska), but with extended family I bet the guys will have WAY more fun doing something guy-ish.

So talk up something else for your cousin, maybe ESPN Zone or something? (though that's not really close to GF, is it. Hmm)
