Hi Everyone! My family has just returned from our 20th trip to Walt Disney World. Our party consisted of me, my younger brother, our parents, and our dog. We went from August 9th - 17th and we stayed at the Poly. We took our dog to the Magic Kingdom Kennel at the TTC and it was marvelous. She is 14 years old and can be nippy with strangers, so we did all the walking. We stayed in Rapa Nui, so we usually just walked over to the kennel to take care of her. Every time we took her for a walk the cast members would clean her kennel and give her fresh water. All the cast members were incredibly nice and helpful and I recommend taking your pet there if you don't want to leave them at home!

As I already mentioned we stayed at Rapa Nui. I love this building. It is close to the TTC and not too far from the Great Ceremonial House. We stayed in a corner room right near the ice and vending, which was very convenient. Rapa Nui is also close to the beach that is right in front of Tahiti. I love to sit in the hammock there and watch the ferry boats go by.

Here are some of the highlights from our trip:

1. We went to all four theme parks throughout our trip and were able to ride most everything we wanted to. The weather was awesome during our vacation and it only rained hard once, so we were able to tour the parks poncho free!

2. I had my first ever turkey leg and I loved it! I got it in Frontierland, so I decided to go over and sit in the rocking chairs near the store. While I was sitting there, a bird (I think it was a blue herring) came over – I’m assuming it wanted some turkey. As I was watching it, he decided to throw up a fish right beside me. Talk about losing my appetite.

3. I went to Pirates League and got the Empress Makeover. I had so much fun and I would love to do it again. It is definitely worth the $50. I got a bandana, eye patch, earring, bottle of nail polish, lip-gloss, face gems, a sword, and a 5 x 7 picture. Plus you get to become a pirate and you get a new name. I’m Kelly Bladecutter! ARRRRGH! pirate:

4. I watched my favorite show - Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial - multiple times. My brother took this picture when Jack was looking right at me. I still don't know how he took it so fast.

4. The Dapper Dans sang Happy Birthday to me. I absolutely love the Dapper Dans and it was awesome to have them sing to me. Since I was the only person watching them at the time at the beginning of each song they would say “and this next song is for Betsy.” It was a real treat! I also got to talk to Chad from Rusty Cutlass a few times (he is the green Dapper Dan on the end). Rusty Cutlass is my favorite band so that was really exciting! :woohoo:

5. Guitar Dan sang a song for me and my brother. He is in Animal Kingdom and one of the most amazing cast members in WDW. He can make up a song about your entire family in seconds. You should definitely go see him the next time you are over there.

6. We ate at 2 table service restaurants this trip: Crystal Palace for breakfast and Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch. Both meals were delicious and I ended up eating way too much at both! At Liberty Tree, me and my mom both got the burger with bacon and cheddar cheese and my brother and dad got the turkey with dressing and mashed potatoes. We shared the triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was soooo good!!

7. My dad had a magical moment at ABC Commissary. We let my dad order for us since all of us wanted hamburgers. So after he ordered, the cashier shouted Magical Moment and started ringing a bell. He won a free chocolate mousse and got a card signed by all the cast members there. :thumbsup2

8. Now, it’s time for the most magical experience we had. :goodvibes On August 13th we decided to sleep in a little and got up at 8:30. We headed over to the Magic Kingdom and had breakfast at the bakery. Those cinnamon buns are soooo delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about them! After we were done eating, we heard the citizens of main street gathering outside the Art of Disney store. We headed down there to see them because we absolutely love their show! Throughout the show we were laughing and singing along and we even got to dance with them at the end. So at the end of the show, a man came over to us and took us to the side of the street. He told us he had been watching us during the show (at this point I was thinking to myself that this guy is kind of creepy) and wanted to catch us before we left. He asked us if we were planning on staying in the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day, because we had just hit Disney Lotto!!! Turns out he was a cast member! You will never guess what we won! He picked us to be the Grand Marshals at the afternoon parade because we were so happy and having so much fun. We couldn’t believe it, heck we still can’t believe it. So at 3:00 we were sitting in the grand marshal car with our new mouse ears on. The music started to play as they announced our name to the entire park and we were off. It was so much fun to wave to everyone watching the parade. It truly was one of the most magical experiences of our lives and we will never forget it.

Here is a picture of us the Photopass lady took:

If anyone was at the Magic Kingdom on August 13th and taped the afternoon parade, I would greatly appreciate it if you could post it on YouTube. Thanks so much!!

So, we had one of the most AMAZING disney trips ever and I'm already suffering from disney depression. We are going back for Christmas for a week and I can't wait!! :cool1:
