wait times for rides during parades

Just thinking, maybe we should skip the parades and ride rides while they are going on? Are lines significantly lower during these times?
I am thinking of doing tomorrow land or fantasy land in the afternoon during parade times. Would this help keep wait times down?

I'm not sure about afternoon parades, but we skipped the parade & firework show at MK one night during Spring Break in '05. We walked on every single ride....no waits! It was like we had the entire parks to ourselves.
